Visited on 10th June 2017, just off the busy main road down by the Turkish Baths, this is a lovely old, end of terrace pub, It’s got lots of original features and is well looked after and popular. A good range of cask and keg ales, some interesting beers on, service and prices good. Definitely one to tie in to a crawl of the area.

On the end of a row of terraced houses that have survived the mass changes in the 20th century and beyond in Sheffield city centre, this is an historic pub, irregular in shape and design inside, but very atmospheric, historic and a relaxing place to enjoy an ale or two. There’s a row of rotating cask ales to choose from but keg has found its way in here so there’s a decent choice for all tastes. This is a Thornbridge pub so you’ll find their ales on in here, but guests are available too. The service area is in the middle of the pub, with the main seating area in front of this running the length of its inside wall, with another room on its other side.

Superb heritage pub, the type of which could easily have been demolished years ago. Very well refurbed a decade or so ago. Used to have a decent range of guest cask, a bit reduced in that respect now Thornbridge own it.

A bit off the beaten track, but well worth seeking out. Can be taken in between the Devonshire Cat, and the Hop, and Anchorage. Traditional boozer on the list of pubs of traditional boozers, or whatever it’s called. It is very interesting and untouched, but that doesn’t extend to the beer range, which is nicely eclectic. Plenty of Thornbridge. Interesting guest cask and keg beers. Bar snacks such as pork pies and sausage rolls available. Hot roast pork also available, but I’ve never partaken, because they put them out well after lunchtime. Never worked that one out. Anyhow, it’s a must, overall. Closed Sundays.

You should visit the Bath just to see the architecture if not for the beer (although that is pretty good as well). This is a remainder of how proper pubs used to look like with a central serving area and a couple of rooms off it (probably an off-licence in earlier times as well). Not a huge range of beers but enough for anyone and a lovely place just to site and enjoy the building and the beer.

Visited the 8th November 2014. Near to the center of Sheffield and behind the spa of Sheffield. It’s look a classical pub by the architecture and the ambiance. Great vibration inside. The place was crowd and the people were nice. The crew is pleasant. About the selection, you will find Thornbridge beers on tap. The selection is limited but what you will find it’s the newest release of the brewery. Nice place, not the best in Sheffield but a must to visit.

Although there are several cask ales on offer I prefer this pub for the architecture. Other reviews say it all.

Nice heritage pub with some classic decor, decent albeit limited selection of local and guest beers. Often overly crowded though which can make for an unpleasant experience.

Nice, small pub. The only Sheffield pub on CAMRA’s National Inventrory of Heritage Pubs, it is a lovely place to drink in. The drawbacks are that it can get very busy very quickly due to its limited space. The range is good with a decent mix of local and not so local guest beers. Well worth a visit if in the area.
