Great little place in Knoxville. As good as any that you’ll find with a knowledgeable staff. I’m sure they would be a total place if the laws were different.

Visited on a Friday evening with Suttree and his wife. Easy to find, parking is front of the building and along streets nearby. Looks like this could be a challenge if the place gets busy. The layout is pleasantly ramshackle and open air. The shop is to the right as you walk up, and beers are available in cans and bottles, as well as a draft system. Selection is a nice mix of local, regional and national craft as well as a variety of well selected imports. The evening I visited, the draft system was not working, though Phil told me that they always have some great and interesting beers on offer. Seating is mostly outdoors, in a variety of spots in the larger open air area. There were a few yard games, and a food truck the evening I visited. Service was welcoming and knowledgeable, clearly loved beer. Fun place, tons of character.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts. 3,7,13,N,N,15

While not much of a bottle selection for shopping, very cool vibe for hanging out and having a beer. 10 minute or less drive from downtown.

Stopped in later in the evening on a Saturday. They have a small parking lot that was full, but the parking lot next door was empty, so I was able to park there. The place is actually pretty big if you count how big their patio is. It must have been a slow night, though, because nobody was outside. All the patrons were inside. The beer selection looked good, but they did not allow mixed 6 packs from what I could tell. Since I was traveling, I didn’t really want to buy a bunch of 6 packs of beer, so I didn’t end up buying anything, but would have if I could have done this. Very friendly service, and helpful once they saw I looked a bit lost. I would come back to drink their beers on tap. Worth checking out.

The store itself is very small, but there is a large outdoor area where you can sit and drink. The parking lot is very small too, and the business next door will tow you, so park in the right place. Owners are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Beer selection is relatively small, mostly sixes and a few bombers. One local tap, and some other stuff from a variety of large craft breweries. Good place to come and drink for a while.

New under 6% place in Knoxville. The "selection" score is based on plans the owner told me, so I’ll adjust if it doesn’t come to fruition. Currently they have sixers of pretty much everything you can get in Knoxville under 6% (no singles except bombers, though, so that’s kinda a bummer). They plan to be a beer store first with an attached beer garden and a couple of taps, and brew their own beer (at the Turkey Creek location of SMBC). Additionally they plan to make regular runs to Nashville to get beers that are legal in TN but not sold in Knoxville. Very exciting... I really hope this works out. Its in a great location (for me, anyway) and I like the unique approach. Fuck it, this place is awesome.

A great little shop with a good range of beers and friendly and helpful service. There’s a yard area too, with benches and tables to make a very nice beer garden (Visited 6 February 2014).

Beer market in Knoxville. Cool beer garden with plenty of tables. Market portion has decent selection of local and regional beers. Also some national and foreign beers. Growlers and kegs available. Selection is limited by the laws in TN that don’t permit beer stores to sell above 6% abv. Service was friendly an knowledgable.
