My previous favorite beer bar in Osaka before all the other craft places started opening up. A small place with about 10 seats at the bar, 5 seats facing a wall down a hallway and a small alcove with a table in the back. It is friendly place with good food and great value for Minoh beers on tap (they own the place). They also often have different events like the strong Beer Weekend held in conjunction with the nearby Qbrick.
They also have a few guest beers from other japanese craft breweries. A great place to drop by after visiting the nearby museum.
Like the cozy feel, especially early evening when not too crowded. Have had a few snacks here, but the kitchen seems to lack proper sanitation so have skipped food the last few visits. Good selection, especially good cask ales.
A couple of guest beers beside the Minoh range. Smaller bar than Tenma but results in a cozy, fun place to drink. May be a different experience when busy though. Staff were cool and even though I didn’t eat the food looked decent.
going to review both beer bellies;the other one, edobori,is a nice pub that is/does everything at a good level.it is comfortable, the beer/food is good, and the the staff do a nice job.
this one is/should be much better;the counter seating(where most people are)is very comfortable.the staff are very attentive, and the beers are good.the big problem here for me is that the open kichen is just inches to meters from the chairs.staff are cutting onions, frying fish, and don’t always have the time to keep it as clean as it could be.i find this to affect the taste/smell of the beers i am drinking and sometimes i leave earlier then i want to if someone comes in-after me- and orders food.
Kinda big for a Japanese craft beer bar (ie must be able to hold at least 20 people!). Friendly service that’s not in your face. Very quite for a Thursday night at 8pm. About 15 beers on tap. The Minoh beers are served in 300ml glasses so relatively cost effective to try a few.
The beer list was a little tough for people like me with two and a half words of Japanese...but that’s my problem. Was my first night in Japan, and was a great way to kick it off. Nice and cosy, and really friendly service.

I came here wanting very badly to like it. Maybe I was just spoiled about what a good time I had at Qbrick, but this place just seemed like it didn’t really care about me or the bar itself. I found myself feeling that the inside was a bit dirty and uncomfortable.
The menu advertised that the Jamon serrano came with a baguette but it didn’t. No biggy, the beer was good and the food reasonable.
