I was able to meet the owners and try a few beers. This is a great place if you are looking for a break from all the wine in Florence. Great beer choices, the bartender knows his stuff, and the atmosphere was pretty relaxed (although) I got there pretty early. Don’t forget to check out what’s in the fridge, i grabbed some hard to find brews.
Very nice student style pub, centrally located in the old town. 10 taps with 9 very interesting beers from small Italian breweries and 1 international offering (Lervig at my visit). Tap list is also diverse, with many different styles (IPAs, Weizen, Imperial Stout, Gose, etc at my visit). Not very cheap though, at least 4 Euros for a half pint. Bottle list is also quite interesting, with Italian and some international craft beers. Pretty expensive though. Staff is friendly, but didn’t offer much service.
Overall highly recommended because of the tap list, where you’ll find Italian craft beers, you won’t often find somewhere else I guess.
Finding out that this bar was only a short walk from our hotel, made for an easy choice for dinner, they had 10 taps and two hand pumps, plus an impressive selection of bottled beers, mostly Belgian styled sours. The food they have is very basic, but it still very good non the less, the staff were super friendly, and eager to help in selecting the right beer. Excellent beer,.
