Really good selection at this place - better than Flying Saucer for example. They don’t offer flights or anything though. Service a little douchy at best. Not a super friendly place, and dingy vibe. They have a few Bearded Iris beers which is a plus. Perhaps visit when it’s less late or less busy and it’ll be better. I was there late on a Sunday long weekend.
Visited late at night on Sunday 15/02/15 - approx 1am. Downstairs bar, centrally located just off the main drag with a pool table and music on the go, pretty packed for the time of night as I imagine a few other places had already closed. Unfortunately another bar that allows smoking ! Decent enough tap and bottle list, not a huge amount of quality amongst the options put before me, but it was still good to be able to pick up some local ticks in the ’wee’ hours. Service was prompt and friendly and we sat at the bar for an hour or so. They had a buy one get one free deal on the draft beers (as referenced in the July ’12 review) so can report that this bargainous deal was still alive and well. Overall a decent enough pit stop for some down town ticking.
We had a little trouble finding a parking space as this is right downtown in the tourist area. The vibe here is typical sports bar and with a good tap selection with solid choices. Jukebox had some killer tunes on it. This is a cool spot to come have a good beer if you want a little more liveliness or wanna shoot pool or catch a game on TV. Sundays and Thursdays are two for one drafts. Smart days to visit.
Interesting concept they put underneath the Hooters downtown. I was in town for the Music City Bowl and thought I would stop in, probably 40 taps, half of them macros or the like, some usual craft offerings, and 5 locals from Yazoo. Not a bad place, not a good place, and it was decently cheap, $6 for two pints was cheaper than Coors Light everywhere else.
Nice little hang out in Nashville. Kinda cool place right off the street, dive bar feeling. Overall the quality and selection is not that great. They have a good number of beers, but mostly ’run of the mill.’ They had some locals, Arrogant bastard, boulevard, schlafly, etc... Service was good, I sat at the bar and the bartender allowed me to taste a good handful of beers before I committed. She actually had a good idea about beers. I didn’t have any food, but I believe they have sandwiches. Nice place to visit if you are near the 2nd and Broadway tourist locale.
This place has 25-30 taps and always has something different. I had a pint of Terrapin India Brown, Arrogant Bastard and DFH 60 minute while I was there. The service was horrible. I actually went to the bar to order my last two beers. The sheer number of taps is low, but they cycle them a lot and always have good local stuff. A good place to go for a beer in Nashville.
From a RateBeerian’s perspective, this place sucks. It’s VERY smokey, very noisy, very dimly lit, and hard to concentrate. But if you are just looking for a cool place, that doesn’t play country music, has a good selection of nice beers, and has pool, darts, and foosball, but don’t really care about rating, then this is a semi-decent dive to check out.
