What an outdoor pub should be. Location outside the tourist area, nice place to sit and watch the world go by. Selection was ok, typical Greek with a couple Belgians in bottles. Could sit here for hours, just sorry we found it on the last day.
Corner pub with a nice interior, 12 taps on my visit, mostly Greek, with a very decent bottled selection as well from Greece. A bit grumpy service but I suspect it was too busy at opening time, serving 15-20 people, just for one person behind the counter, doing all the job by herself. There is a few seats available at the small square opposite as well, a positive experience beer wise.
Very Nice venue. Did sit on the terrace at the Square in front of the pub. Excellent service, attentive and friendly. Good selection, 10 Beers from the tap, a Nice selection of bottles. A very Nice beermenu with lots of Greek micro’s. Good food, my wife and I had a wonderful Time!!
Finally made it here this time in Athens having been too late to get in last year, and in the city on Monday when it was closed.
Superb selection of beer, only spolit by a couple of the ones I wanted not being available. I have updated the current beer list as of 28/08/16 and added them to the Beers Here section (* denotes draft). Service excellent with friendly smiles and a very good standard of English spoken by all the staff.
My only concern was people smoking in the bar which meant that I stank of stale cigarettes when I got back to the hotel.
Decent pub in tourist area of the city. Tried a couple of draft beers - Yaki from Solo and Red Rhapsody from Odyssey, both of which were pretty good. Taps were mostly Greek micros, didn’t look at the bottle selection. Service was good and people were friendly, was given a free shot of house schnaps. Didn’t try the food, other than the free popcorn. Worth a visit.
Nice selection of Greek beers, really liked that one from Chania - Crete which comes only in draft. no way to find it in bottle. Food is ok I guess.. nothing special but not bad either.
Some effort have been spent in the thematic decoration of the place, and this is a nice touch in an otherwise "busy" environment.
For Athens I think this is a great first place. The beer flight (15€) off tap is great for an introduction to Greek beer. Don’t think many others offer this. Not sure how much it changes. Shame Paulaner is one of them. In winter it still feels welcoming. Seems a bit on the expensive side for Greece. Bottle selection for tourists is excellent. A lot of Greek micros. International is quite limited. Didn’t have food but seems to be standard burger stuff. Music was indie rock, I was happy with it. Closed on Mondays.
Finally I managed to visit Beertime after being many weekends in Athens! I wasn’t able to visit it the previous times because of the time they open (after 5 or 6 pm). It’s a very nice beer restaurant on a small square at the center of the city (close to Monastiraki metro station). It was Friday evening, the ground floor was almost empty but we found the last table for two persons at the loft having a good view to the bar and the street. There is also a room with tables in the basement and there many tables also outside at the square. Very nice ambiance and good music (Rock). Service was good and fast since the place was not to crowded. 5 beers on taps and many bottles mostly from Greek breweries (almost from all micro ones). They serve also a taster (5 beers of 200 ml each for 15 euros). Prices were OK for the Greek beers, a little bit high for the foreign ones. We didnt try the food but I have heard good things about their food. I will visit it again if I am in the area.
