We visited here Saturday 4th February 2017, weíd nipped across to the Highbury Vaults first. This is located at the top of St Michaels Hill, a steep hill about 3/4 mile from the centre of town. Please note that there are no buses up and down this road, so if you struggle with hills it might be worth getting a taxi or stopping in one of the other 2-3 pubs en route.

Inside I was sort of reminded of a kids playschool with the mix and match multi coloured chairs. There are wooden floors, exposed brickwork, glazed ceramic tiles. When you enter it is sort of sectioned off into two, on the right is all tables and seating, off to the left side is the bar area and whilst there is some seating this is really the drinking side. A large expanse of glass with floor to ceiling windows across the front of the pub.

Beer choice was quite good, mostly keg, but with a few cask choices, prices were good. I had a Beerd beer, (forgot which) Loz had a Siren Undercurrent, we also had pizza which was also very decent. I quite liked it here, ok it was dead on out visit, but itíd not long opened. The staff were very friendly and very attentive, though I guess with just two punters there was a chance that was likely to happen. I would return here if in the area and combine with a trip across the road to the Highbury Vaults.

Modern style bar with the stripped back, tatty chic look. Minimalist decoration and furniture, but still comfortable enough. A mix of cask and keg, the more adventurous selection being on keg. Swift and confident service. Decent.

New-style multi-beer bar blending cask ales, a few better keg beers and an array of British and foreign bottled beers. Almost opposite the Highbury Vaults. Aimed at the university and low budget young professionalsí area area but done well and they know their beers.

A nice, open plan bar with the feel of a childrenís playroom as the tables and chairs are all very brightly coloured; and the beer list made me feel like a child in a sweetshop! There was a great choice of just the sort of beer I like from six casks, ten kegs and about 60 bottles. Beerd is a Bath Ales offshoot brewing at Graze, the place just by the station in Bath. Well worth a visit. (Visited 17 December 2014).

Decent bar offering bath Ales products, plus some international beers and well chosen Uk guest beers from the likes of Tiny Rebel and Dark Star. Does an excellent offer on Sundays, when cask beers are £2.50 a pint.

I do like this place, but... Despite having a wide selection, a lot of it is fairly readily available, and therefore doesnít justify the premium a lot of itís beers are priced for. Whilst the ales are generally reasonably priced, their continental lagers can push £7-8 a pint, and the bar staff probably should mention this when you order one - although in their defence, prices are clearly marked behind the bar. Food is great, so long as you like pizza, but specialising isnít a bad thing. I think itís great that Bath Ales are trying something new, and I hope they sort out the few weaker aspects of this bar, because it would be a shame if it didnít work and put them and others off from experimenting.

New craft beer and pizza venue in Bristol. Up to 6 cask beers plus cider and a selection of keg from UK and further afield. Solid bottle menu but all widely available. Fantastic pizza, fresh and big portions, try theonion rings. Friendly, well-trained staff. Hodgepodge interior perhaps a bit over-designed God toilets
