Bello Vino is a MUST for Ann Arbor area brew-lovers.
They have a HUGE selection of both wine and beerimportand AND local varieties.
The staff there is always awesomethey’ll tell you what’s selling, what they like, what others seem to be liking, or just any general info/shooting the shit with you. The 3 or so usual beer guys are always friendly and always helpful.
One of my favorite aspects of this place is that they will always single-out ANY bottle of beer from a larger pack for you to try if that is your desire. Not only that, they have a large area of pre-singled out beers already pre-priced for individual sale. I love this, because it’s a cheap way for me to try lots of different beers.
Bello Vino is the primo store in the area.
PS. Oh yeah, they have lots of grourmet grocery items as well, as well as an awesome, fresh produce section.
Outstanding selection of both bombers and 12 ouncers, with I’d guess 50-75 of the latter available as eaches. As an out-of-stater, I was able to pick up a lot of stuff not available in Illinois. No bargains, but prices were reasonable. HIghly recommended detour.
I’m new to the area and stumbled upon this place as well. Wow, what a selection! Tons of local and other micros. The Beer Guy, David, was more than helpful and emphasized he didn’t mind breaking up sixers. He pulled out some tucked away brews for me as well. The prices were lower than that of anywhere else I’ve seen in Ann Arbor . He told me the new space burtallen mentioned would be in place within a week. I’m an immediate regular. By the way, holy Belgium!

Tucked back in a plaza. Reminds me a lot of Premier Gourmet in Buffalo. Lots of good food and good wine. The beer is over on the side and there’s a really nice selection. Lots of the typical Michigan beers; Jolly Pumpkin, Bell’s, Avery and some really decent belgian beers as well. Service was outstanding. Dave went out of his way to make sure my visit was enjoyable. He’s a great guy to talk to. Highly recommended. Well priced as well.

As a former student at UofM, this is was a second home. The staff was extremely helpful, and their selection was the reason I was able to get into craft beer. They had a HUGE selection at competitive prices. I would frequent this location often and I am sad to hear it recently closed. BRING BACK BELLO VINO.
I thought this place had a very nice selection. They have several singles, 4’s and 6 packs. They have many hard to find beers and is worth a stop if driving near Ann Arbor. Its located just a mile off the freeway.

I remember writing down three beer stores to visit in Ann Arbor before setting off on a five week road trip all over the eastern U.S. last fall. Unfortunately i went into this store last and had already blown half my Michigan budget in the two local party stores - and both of those are so dingy I was cringing. The service here was very attentive and fantastic. Selection was alot of fun, Jolly Pumpkins i still haven’t seen on another shelf yet(my timing’s always off on those). Highly recommended, certainly if choosing just one stop. Note: the prices here were on average 2/3 of what the other local stores were charging for things like batch 7000 and Dark Horse.
One of my best beer store experiences. Great selection, splitting 6’s not an issue. The service was tremendous, dedicated employee was awesome and helpful, even giving the group of us a little glassware gift on the way out. Prices seemed fine and if it wasn’t for the border, I would have spent more. Highly recommended.
Bello Vino is awesome. Anything you want in singles, great. A fantastic selection of Michigan micros and world beers. Drew and Matt are some of the most knowledgeable beer purveyors around. Prices are great too.

One hell of a grocery store. Stopped in on way back to Chicago from Detroit and I am glad I stopped in. They have a huge selcetion of both wine and beer. Great imports and belgains. Tons of six packs and good selection of domestic bombers. What makes this place truely special is the singles selection. They have close to 150 singles available. We are not talking about crappy singles either. They have the full line of Bells, Founders, DFH, Dark Horse, Arbor, Arcadia, Brooklyn and ton of other local breweries. Place is basically a gormet market. If I ever have the chance to go to Detroit again I will make sure I stop back in.
