Visited on a friday night with Lars. It was very crowdy when we entered, but we found a nice spot at the hobbit bar. (We call it like that because the chairs were mini). I loved the interior, they use a lot of wood, some beer ads on the wall. The tap list is on a chalkboard, behind the hobbit bar.
Service was quick, good serving. Friendly and humorous.
Large selection, some of large breweries, some of smaller breweries. Yet their "hard to find"-list was not impressing, which let me down a bit.
Let’s say it is not the cheapest place out there. But since the location and the amount of staff present, it’s probably correct.
A great place in the heart of Antwerp. The service is always plentiful and quick, food is good, and the beer selection is as broad as the street it lies on. It is not the cheapest of places but appears to be worth the sacrifice considering how much one can taste in a single sitting. Despite its size, the place has a cozy, local, wooden interior and creates a pleasant atmosphere on the days it is not filled to the brim.
Very large bar, mixing tourist trap and classic Belgian cafe styles, but it’s far from the worst I’ve seen. Service is neutral at best, not caring about customer, beer, brewer or hygiene. Quite some taps but mostly well known stuff, only an odd tick. Not a horrible place when transferring at Antwerpen station, not at all, just keep on drinking and you’ll get into the Belgian beer mood
Bier central in Antwerp Is 2 min from Central Stn and has a huge lively terrace while the interior was all dark wood, brass and old belgian beer signs. A cool looking place, prices seemed average to a bit high and while it boasts a 300 beer menu it seemed much more like a restaurant than a bar and mostly had the usual suspects. Meh.
New beer pub in the centre of Antwerp, brownish and actually quite cosy interior. Big selection, yes, but not everything is always in stock and the list entirely consists of the usual Belgian stuff - I found nothing I hadn’t tasted before. Service was correct but nothing more: no passion, no knowledge. What bothered me the most here, are the prices, which are clearly too high. Glad I saw it, but I don’t plan to revisit this any time soon.
Bit of a tourist trap this one.Contrived and VERY expensive- the same beers are 1 or 2 euros cheaper in the Kulminator. Service slow and dissinterested and two of the four beers asked for were out of stock. Not recommended unless you need an unusual beer in the Central Station area. They should also sort out the sewer smell. Update Nov 2014: have visited several times now due simply to it’s close proximity to our hotel. None of the above issues have been sorted so won’t be going back.

Gezellig, prachtig menu, maar zou meer afwisseling in mogen. Of zorgen dat ze altijd alles hebben, want dat is niet altijd zo. Maar over het algemeen een echte aanrader. Ik zit er graag
