This place had the best tap list of all the places that we visited in Barcelona, with lots of rare beers from various places around the world. Bit disappointed to see very few local beers though. Service was good. Food was decent - we had the octopus. Prices a bit high but I didn't think they were much higher than anywhere else. Definitely worth visiting.
Certainly no complaints with the beer. By far the best tap beer selection I went of anywhere in Barcelona. Beers from the likes of Cascade, Westbrook, Prairie etc. Didn't have time to look at the bottle selection. Food was good. Staff were fine. Just didn't love the place. There's no alcoholic drinks that aren't beer. Prices are pretty high on everything (obviously some of the imports above I except to pay a lot for). Very few Spanish beers given the number of taps. No flights. Definitely worth a visit, and you'll find stuff you won't find anywhere else in Barcelona, but outside of the beer it's lacking a certain something for me.
I'm sorry but I think this place is overrated. WAY OVERRATED. I went here once only and it was the worst experience I ever had on a beer bar in Barcelona (and I've been on many).
The space was almost empty (early after lunch) with just some guys sitting on the counter and a couple of tables with people, but everything else completely empty.
The staff was initially helpful, but when I ordered things started to turn painful.
They didn't had 2 or 3 beers I asked for (tap) and I ended up taking a Chouffe (I knew it already but they didn't had any of my taste and the ones I liked were out of stock). It came at a really bad temperature... Belgian beer is not meant to be extremelly cold but that was way too warm, in few minutes it was not very nice... I had to drink it fast.
Then from then on, I ordered a second one and during the whole time I had the guy from the bar every minute (literally) coming to check if we wanted some more beers. We were two and consumed 4 beers in an empty bar in less than an hour, and they were pushing us hard to get more or leave the bar. They didn't told us to leave literally but you could get the message, drink or leave.
I will never come back, having tons of other options in Barcelona with similar variety and way better prices... because that's another one, is one of the most expensives you can find here. Or at least used to be when I went there.
Great place, with great food and good beer on tap that shifts often. They don't do flights but will offer samples. Service pretty friendly - Nigerian bartender was great when I was there. A lot of stuff from all around Europe when I was there, and surprisingly few Spanish craft beers. You can bring bottles in from next door and open them at a small markup.
So the famous Biercab. Visited on two occasions, both times in the evening. One time it was packed and the other it was almost empty, depends on the day I guess. Impressive selection, few beers short of 30 taps. Mostly imports on tap including Belgian classics, modern US micros and Scandinavian breweries with nice additions like FrauGruber and Dieu du Ciel. Bottle selection is extensive and quite expensive. US imports are not on the cheap side either. Good service. A must when in Barcelona. It can be considered as one of the better bars in Europe, I wouldn't say it's one of the top bars in the world.
