The Schoppe beers on tap. Dark, dusty and smokey pub. However the 4/5 beers I had were in amazing condition. Fresh and very well brewed. Very diccicult to communicate with the waitors both because of the noize, my limited German and their very little beer knowledge.
Atmosphere is somewhere between "wow what a dump" and "holy shit what a fucking dump". Four well-made beers from Schoppe on tap. Local smokers and Swedish tourists. They have wifi but don’t give out the password to foreigners, common practice in Berlin.
Schoppe beers still here, although I hear it’s no longer affiliated with the brewery. If we are really lucky, Schoppe will take his fine beers and connect to a tap that’s non-smoking. This is a Raucherkneipe -- a smoking bar -- and we found it difficult to smell or taste our beers. Drinking them was easy enough though. Simple bar, some couches on one side, a few small tables out on the sidewalk.

I was dissapointed with my last visit. I always used to value it, but when I came back after having not been there for a year I was sad to see that the prices had gone up and that when I requested a Schoppe Pale Ale, I was told that they didn’t have any (although it was written on the board). It used to be cheap and have better than average beer, but now, with stellar places like Hopfenreich and Vagabund having opened up, I can’t see myself going there again
Really nice place in Kreuzberg to have Schoppe brewery beers. The place is clean and cosy but very dark and smoked. The atmosphere is calm and relax. A good place in Berlin to have good beer and nice ambiance.
Visited december 2012. This pub is for sure not my kind of pub, being dark, dirty and very smokey, it was a hard job to get through the beers in front of us, and since the beers were in bad condition as well, it didn´t do the job easier.. But one of the few places where Schoppe beers are served. The staff was friendly and serviceminded, eventhough they were busy, they still came to the table to serve the beers..
Went there twice. On Saturday night it was crowded and very smokey. This is quite disappointinf, but ok, that’s Berlin! Then on monday afternoon it was all more relaxing and chilling. Nice atmosphere, good beers, fair prices (happy hour before 20!). Highly recommended. The only problem is that it seems like they really don’t know how to pour a beer von Fass, always without a proper head.
