Located in a shopping center on the outskirts of Winter Park. Low marks on ambience as the cashier insisted on blasting us out first with "Billy Jean" and then some nerve wracking speed metal at full blast on his portable cd player! That aside - the place has a great selection of beers form around the world and slected micros. All the trappists are represented outside of Westy and many western brewers are represented as well such as Rogue, Avery, Mendocino and Left Hand. Most are available in singles and the arrangement is nice and spread out - one whole side of the store is set aside for beer. The clerk was helpful - offered his help for suggestions, but did not linger or hover. A good place to stop if in the Orlando/Winter Park area

Finally visited Big C and I have to say..."Hey not bad." They aren’t Knightly good, but they have some laudable selections. Had DFH 120 singles when I was there plus Nieuw Ligt Grand Cru ($10.99 a bottle and I had to get one) and a few others I was tempted to pick up. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and they seem to be very ratebeer.com savvy.
This place is solid. I’m re-rating based on many visits now as I live right down the road. 450 bottles advertised and they appear to be expanding a little. Good selection, decent pricing, some of the staff seems to know their stuff. All in all this is a nice stop, especially if on the east side of Orlando. I’d certainly rank this below Knightly but I think this place gets underrated because it’s not Knightly and I can’t think of too many other retailers in the area that are better.
Update for 2011: They have re-arranged their beer layout quite a bit since my 2007 rating. Selection is larger, although some brands (Cantillon, Mikkeller) are not around anymore. Stock of Cigar City, plus plenty of good choices.

I question age of every bottle/can in this place unless it has a date stamp. Big selection, cramped space, indifferent service, but the only real game in town.
Very good selection. Probably have 100+ singles, including some stuff I’ve never seen before. They have all the standards (Rogue, DFH, etc.) but also some very unique and limited release stuff. Pricing was average. I picked up some DFH Fort, Fullers Vintage, Hebrew Genesis 10:10, Ayinger Celebrator, and Calva Reserva. They had a bunch of other stuff I wanted to get, but my fridge is overflowing, so I’ll have to go back. They even had RateBeer tags on some of their beers. Overall, very good store.
I used to live in Orlando right down the road from this place. I was just starting to get into beer and then I graduated and moved down south. I can’t believe that I didn’t take full advantage of this place. It’s got a lot of great stuff. Definitly check it out.
