Big C’s is the all inclusive epitome of the independent craft beer spot. With one of the longest running, and best selections, a knowledgeable and friendly staff that makes other chain retailers look plain ignorant, and some of the best prices in town it just plain kicks ass. Sure, you could overlook the sometimes crowded space (they’re definitely outgrowing themselves rapidly), but the reality is, that’s just more stock for you to enjoy, and they so frequently have the beers I can’t find anywhere else, I wonder why I even bother looking anywhere else first. Big C’s may not be the flashy warehouse approach, but it’s got everything you need, and a hell of a lot more heart.
I’ve lived in Orlando / Winter Park for 10+ years and this is my favorite place to get beer and spirits (other than Redlight). If you’re lucky enough to arrive on a day when Murph(y) is working, you’re in for a real treat. This place is pretty tiny but it’s packed with some serious gems. From Sour Ales to Scorpion Tequila, they have a great selection of hard-to-find enjoyables without any pretenses. On the corner of University and Goldenrod. REALISTIC!
Oh My God...I have been in some liquor stores in my day but CHRIST, never before have I ever had an experience at one.
So me and my roommate stroll on it to Big C’s enjoying the finer side of God’s botanical goods, and we were in beer paradise. As far as the eye could see there were Belgians and Microbrews, Bottles of beer that looked like bottles of wine but tasted so much better, all of my childhood favorite liquors, but again, BEER AND BEER AND BEER, so many different beers that I have never heard of or seen and barley remember drinking. The help from the staff was amazing, DIscovery Channel pales in comparison to what the Barkeep/Salesman taught me that night about living beers and burnt beer and pales and darks and everything else I could ever imagine.
Great selection. Pretty much have everything you could want that’s available in the area with few exceptions. I’ve encountered a handful of workers and one is very polite and helpful and the rest are laid back/indifferent depending on how you look at it. They have some good cheap glassware too. A must stop if you’re in the area.
This place deserves a higher rating. We all know we are limited in finding craft beer on certain sides of town and they have a good selection of warm bottles in addition to the cold ones. There is only one guy that truly is into craft beer and he’s super cool, the others know zilch. Little dumpy, cramped... but they get a good amount of my business.

Selection was good. Had more beers than most stores do. I was told this place had over 600 beers but Big C’s advertises they have 450. Went looking for some rare beers and staff was not helpful giving us wrong information and not offering much help. Have heard that there are some staff members who are helpful. I will go there again, mainly if I know what I am looking for or if I want to test their selection out.
