pretty much a dump, but quite a decent beer selection. youíll find much better stores in Detroit or Grand Rapids, but this is about as good as it gets in Lansing. organization was iffy at best, but I donít mind looking through everything. best of all, I didnít see anything that wasnít available as a single.
I frequent this store and am surprised I havenít yet rated it. Oades is the best beer store the greater Lansing area has to offer. However, there are better stores in Michiganís other large cities (Grand Rapids, Flint, Ann Arbor, and Detroit), so Oades is pretty much a local destination. Selection is good, and they typically get several of the seasonal beers and special releases other stores in the area donít receive. Stone, Victory, Dogfish Head, etc. share shelf space with an abundance of Michigan micros. The Belgian and foreign selection is relatively limited, however. Quite a few of the staff really enjoy good beer and are always up to date on whatís coming in and when. If youíre in the mid-Michigan area, Oades is the place to shop.

Good selection of both six pack and singles. Sort of pricy though.
Like stated before, it looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but pretty interesting inside. They had a decent selection of all singles and all in a cooler. You could get some hot versions if you liked. A lot of Michigan beers. One very rare find. Wild Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter in stamped oak box with pin and glass ($43). Man I love this beer, but I canít stand that price. Oh, they had two left by the way.
Decent selection available as singles with prices that were well above average. Managed to find a few I hadnít seen before but at the prices I wasnít looking that hard. Service was okay. Store is cramped and youíre constantly bumping into someone.
