This gets huge bonus points for providing otherwise very thirsty milanese with a place to drink good beer. Lambrate beer is fresh, well poured, and diverse (check range of beers). Service can be a bit surely or forgetful, but 8 times out of 10 you get the beer you asked for, and for a damn cheap price (about 4 euros a pint for good beer... beats becks at 6).
Visited on 2nd May 2017 after Lambiczoon. Got a taxi straight here from Lambiczoon. The place is a littel wild and quite an eclectic mixed crowd. The heavily tattooed barman served me quite promptly. I asked for a small 7% beer, he held up a pint glass and said only medium or large, the pint was the medium, so after 7 beers already i went for a pint of Grateful Deaf and a pint of the Imperial Geisa. It was a fun place. certainly different and recommended, I would have liked it better if I could have had half pints and the beer was too good not to drink the full pint servings!
Holy cow, this place is amazing. There was a crying infant with a mohawk. There was a table of 12 year old boys visiting just for the free food. There were a bunch of friendly people with neck tatoos. And there were lots of dogs. A dozen beers on tap, packed with people who all knew each other. Nonetheless it was easy to make new friends among the crowds of people, and everyone was very generous with their space so you could grab a plate of food and still eat it comfortably. As the night progressed the crowd spilled onto the street. This reminded me quite a bit of Macche in Rome. This is a classic Italian bar, and a must-visit while in Milan.
Old school craft beer pub, very busy with people scattered up the street outside on my visit, nice place to drink if not quiet. Beers I tried were all pretty good although the old man in me found the kegs a tiny bit cold and fizzy.
Bit outside of the Milano city centre. Went their around noon and had lunch. The antipasti was just amazing. Simple pasta, but pure and very well made. Main dish wasn’t my cup op tea. Beer are very decent and value is more then OK. Well worth a visit.
