Visited this place on 3rd Sept 2016 after I read about it on Ratebeer. Small with tables inside and on the street. Good choice of beers on tap and bottles. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff behind the bar. I didn’t try the food, but looked pretty good.
Visited August 2013. The owner, Marco, was very nice to us. He had a huge selection of craft beers and Tilquin Geuze on hand pump! He also threw in some regional snacks (focaccia, mortadella,..) for free. Highly recommended!
Servizio pessimo.
The name was intriguing, the wolf’s hideout. I went there around 11h50, place supposedly opened around 11h30. If there is well one thing I abhor is a place that does not respect its opening hours, and Italy seems to do very well at it. In any case, I sat outside eating some food before going in, the place was still unlit, benches on the tables and the buy was busy sorting out a delivery. Not that the guy was unfriendly but it’s hard to connect with your customer when you are opening boxes.
The place was uninviting, with the decor borderline tacky. The window was not clean, spider webs around the carton window decor. To me this just seemed like a place that could use a good cleaning and certainly was not part of the idea behind the Luppolo theme? The draft beers (5 in total) were low on Italians and consisting of half German pils. I had the Jake brewed by Bellazzi. Small selection of bottles to go, a ltd selection of Italians and the usual Belgian suspects. Pint price was even a bit above the usual price in Bologna for that type of products.
