I never went to their original location, but this one is pretty sweet. It was really crowded (although it was Saturday night), and because of that they were out of some of the cask beers. Still, a tremendous and reasonably priced selection. I didn’t try the food, but it looked decent. Check it out, definitely the best beer bar that I’ve been to in manhattan, better than hop devil.

Small cozy place with a good selection. Everything on draught available as taster. Was crowded, but service still fast and good.

Visited here in late July '18 on an early Sunday evening while on a quick NYC trip. Classic beer bar, intimate quarters, lots of dark wood and brick, Decent crowd for a Sunday evening, but no problem getting prompt attention when sauntering up to the bar. Incredible selection for an out of towner - enjoyed selections from Hill Farmstead, Barrier, BrewDog and Other Half;. Lots of regional selections and priced reasonably considering the location. They have food, but did not partake. My favorite beer stop while on this visit to NYC.

A pretty standard traditional bar with a few non-invasive TVs and a good amount of seating. Bartender was knowledgeable and knew the beers. A very strong tap list with 30ish local and regional beers. I did not try the food on my visit. Prices are inline with the area. One of the better beer bars I have been to.

First time I've tried to visit this bar it was so crowded the bouncer wouldn't let us in. So in my second attempt I've managed to visit this famous NYC bar. Medium sized place, incredibly crowded and loud. Someone might say vibrant and lively, but didn't struck me as a place where I would like to stay for long. Maybe I was just a bit tired at the moment. Somehow I got a beer at the bar and stood in the middle of room, since there was no chair or table. Selection was good, but they don't seem to update their online beer list regularly so I've expected a bit more. Nothing too interesting except Captain Lawrence Cuvee de Castleton which was very nice. A good bar for sure, but I don't see it as one of the top NYC places.

On business in NYC. Visited Monday 20th November 17. Early evening and this place was buzzing, I got a table which made all the difference as I was knackered. The list was fantastic, I ordered the Hill Farmstead beers which were excellent, and a Pizza Boy imperial stout, all beers rated 100 on RB. The food was great, roast beef sandwich. A nice real fire going, young crowd, I was certainly in the upper age group, fantastic music also, life was good, Hill Farmstead DIPA, good music and food. This place was the best in my opinion of the places I went to in New York.

Small and crowded. Difficult to see whats on and difficult to get served. Was OK for kids in afternoon, beer range was decent. Samplers like all of NY pricy. but allround ok
