Surpisingly empty when I visited during a week'q night.
Decent craft selection, a bit confusing to read the names. Good decoration with a bit of cellar atmosphere. I saw people walking down with their beer orders from the bbq place next door and fill up their jars.
Didn't eat but menu was more along the American grub variety.
Despite being the sole customer the service was non-existant, the guy just gave me a beer and stayed glued to his cell phone. Good place but other more central options offer similar styles.
Came a bit early, although the doors were opened they haven’t start working yet so I had to come back later. Can’t say they were too kind, either. So I came back later, early evening, just couple of other people in there, the place was quite empty, felt a bit cold. Industrial interior, I liked it. There is a terrace upstairs, looked pretty basic to me.
Was a bit confused by selection. During my visit 22 taps were on, mostly Italian micros, 1 Boon and 4 German beers I had no interest in (3 Maxlrainer). At least expected more Relevation Cats, only two were on. The Ratebeer says 73 taps, I’ve counted around 50 (I may have missed some of them). Not sure what’s the deal with taps not being used. I’ve asked about bottles and was pointed to 2 fridges containing vintages, around 30 of them. They were rather interesting, Mikkeller, Jolly Pumpkin, Hel & Verdoemenis, Old Viscosity, Struise, Lost Abbey nothing too rare, just old. Oh, and some lambics. Vintage lambics were mostly 3 Fontainen priced from 15 euro for 2009 Kriek (0,375) to 110 euro Oude Geuze (0,75) from 2002. Haven’t seen prices for other beers (didn’t want to bother the guy at the bar and ask for the price of each one), just lambics. Don’t get the 420 bottles listed here, is it some kind of joke (considering the name)? I’ve looked around, was convinced I was missing something, but looks that’s it.
If you’re not willing to pay premium price for the vintages (and that selection is pretty limited) this is an average bar, don’t see how is this one of the top bars in Rome let alone the world.
