Neat place in the basement of some nondescript apartment block. Brewery is on ground level, a really nice Braukon system. Five beers and a cider on offer, sadly only in 0.3-0.5l sizes, so it’s challenging to try them all in one sitting. Beers are tasty and well-made, mainly traditional German styles. Food is tasty and also traditional flammkuchen. The table set-up means that people mostly keep to themselves, but I visited early, and maybe that changes as the night progresses. Anyway, I’ll be back to find out.
Versteckter Bierkeller in einem Hinterhof im Wedding. Im Sommer mit hübschem Biergarten. 6-8 Biere vom Fass. Immer zwei wechselnde Specials. Leckere Flammkuchen, eigener Whyskey und Schnäppse. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.
Nice beergarden in the courtyard of an appartment-house; the tap-room in a cellar makes You feel to be in a student’s dormitory... Friendly service, presumably also done by students. Fortunately the focus is here on traditional (Lager-) beer styles, which are served in good condition. Combine Your visit here with a visit to Vagabund! Both are worth the effort...
A very local place for mostly students. Fast and nice service with low prices of both food and beer.
Got a pretty copper destilation equipment in the facilities that was working when I was there. The brew master also nice and eager to talk.
Visited inter festas 2015-XII. Friendly off-the-beaten-track Brauhauskeller bombshelter aka one-man-and-his-helpers project well tucked away in more nondeScript residential Wedding en route to Vagabund. Great Kellerpils and a few solid variations on traditional themes, including dryhopped Kellers and Bocks. Bring your own food, families mix with locals, peoples collecting kegs, drop-ins like us. Very decent in-house Flammkuchen.
