Yet a traditional brewpub in the main street. A bit more careful on the heavy wooden interior than some other pubs around, giving the place a very unpretentious and folksy feeling. The entrance corridor functions as a drinking area, with a seated area to the right and a partly roof covered outdoor area in the back. Fairly busy, with an eclectic clientele. Decent, quaffable beers, with both snacks and food available, and even some rooms to let upstairs. Good value and service.
Located just opposite of Spezial, this place has a very similar feel. A bit newer and less rustic. Also the beer is maybe not quite as stellar, but still good. We took a sweep to the Schwemme and didn’t stay for long as we were on a tight schedule.

Right across the street from Spezial, this place is also in an old building. The beers are alright, but the ambiance feels a bit rough. We were in the self-service garden. If you are on a tight schedule, this is the first place I’d cut out.
