Quite large, rather traditional brewpub with a small patio in front. Usually with three of their beers on tap: Naturtrüb, Weizen and a seasonal. The quality of the beers was quite high, I hope that they give the brewer a bit more leeway and increase the number of taps for more different beers. Food was varied and included traditional, local dishes. Prices were quite okay, and the staff was quick and attentive. I hope I can try more of their seasonals!

Hard to find spot if you are not local and without phone. They do offer two types of Kölsch beers, one of the unfiltered (bonus for guys like me). Inside mostly locals. Service when noticed that I was of "rating" type greeted me with brew master Gunnar Martens. I was luck as Gunnar is full of energy, great persona that leads local beer revolution. I was presented with pilot batch beer, whiskey infused ale...In short solid spot, and ask for Gunnar if possible.

Had a very enjoyable long lunch in here with the family, and the weather outside was terrible! Tried a few of the Bonnsch beers - the raspberry wit beer went down well. Food and service were good.

Brauhuas Bonnsh stands as a testament to how much German beer culture has degraded and how large of a challenge the German craft brewers face in attracting a local following that is interested in flavorful beer. As expected this brewpub is not trying anything exciting, they mostly produce a Kolsh style beer that is backed up by a rotation one or two of the expected German styles (Wheat, Bock...). What is surprising is how this place can stay open given the total lack of quality control over the brewing process. The beer served here often stinks like sulfur or has an unpleasant yogurt like sourness (they are not trying to make Lambic) or is notably flat. Still the crowds line up and pound it down, even when it smells like farts. Not sure who to blame a brewer that would serve something this bad or a public that would consume it.

3 nice drafts with good food. However the highpoint for me was their own beer glass - fits perfectly in the hand - haven’t seen anything like this before...

Overcrowded Brauhaus serving the most lousy beer imaginable. Food and service are good.

Appealing location with larger-than-expected Brauhaus cum brewing facilities and former malting chambers in the cellar now used as quite chique party vaults, including an interesting fresco uniting all of Bonn’s famous native sons. The Bönnsch they serve in a curved Kölsch glass with a handgrip imprint is something else, just as its distinctly unpasteurised nose, close to Gose, doubtfully stealing the show over their other 2 offerings. Service: palliative combination of perky, but not particularly beer-savvy Eastern European waitresses and barely energetic enough for eyerolling local waiters. Had a typically decent value for money lunch here, bland fare. Seems to usually get a decent amount of local patronage, but then again it’s the former BRD’s capital’s only Brauhaus...I pretty much stumbled in here on a rainy day: how do I renounce my involuntary mayorship?
