During a beer symposium in Berlin we visited two of the Lemke places. This one. close to one of the main tourist attractions in the western part of town, is a fairly large pub in dark wooden interiors and divided into separate seating sections. Ten of their own beers on tap, six of them are available to sample with 100ml in each glass. A few more Lemke beers on bottles. A nice, clean, and well kept pub. Polite service by the table. Iggy Pop, Stevie Wonder and Oasis in the black. We spent quite a long time here and was pleased with our stay early on a Friday afternoon. (Visited with Norwegian friends 12.01.2018).
Nice Brew-Pub located next to Schloss Charlottenburg. food is typical tourist Brew-Pub style. Not Bad, but nothing special. 8 own beer on tap, 2 bottles. Staff is only as frindly as needed and unattentate. If you looking for beer, better takes places inside.
Visited July 8/15 and September 13/16. Brauhaus Lemke has joined the Craft Beer bandwagon with offerings of IPA and Imperial Stout type beers. I miss their wonderful old Zwickel from previous years. I found their current Pils to be a bit yeasty - not so great - but enjoyed their darker 5.4% "Original" lager. Although the beer lineup has changed, the food menu remains hearty and tasty, if a tad on the pricey side. A worthwhile stop if you are in the area.
Across the street from the palace, with sidewalk terrace seating in agreeable weather. Shiny coppery modern 90s-era brewpubbing happening inside. Decent lagers underrated by people who want something "different," which these days is provided in the form of IPAs and strong stouts and the like. I think the Bohemian Pils is money; if not Bohemian at least it’s spicy and bitter. There is a hoppy wheat beer that never seems to be in stock. Food is decent if unremarkable. Good service. I would take visitors here.
Very busy even off season-peak. The help was harried by all the foreign tourists, but was nice enough to me, although sheesh, the service was still pretty slow. Some major outdoor street traffic but the location is decent to the Schloß and the nearby museums (really not much else in this neighborhood). Standard beers are fine, seasonals occasionally very good, but ymmv.
