Visited July 8/15 and September 13/16. Brauhaus Lemke has joined the Craft Beer bandwagon with offerings of IPA and Imperial Stout type beers. I miss their wonderful old Zwickel from previous years. I found their current Pils to be a bit yeasty - not so great - but enjoyed their darker 5.4% "Original" lager. Although the beer lineup has changed, the food menu remains hearty and tasty, if a tad on the pricey side. A worthwhile stop if you are in the area.
Across the street from the palace, with sidewalk terrace seating in agreeable weather. Shiny coppery modern 90s-era brewpubbing happening inside. Decent lagers underrated by people who want something "different," which these days is provided in the form of IPAs and strong stouts and the like. I think the Bohemian Pils is money; if not Bohemian at least it’s spicy and bitter. There is a hoppy wheat beer that never seems to be in stock. Food is decent if unremarkable. Good service. I would take visitors here.
Large brewpub near Schloss Charlottenburg, from behind the windows or outside you can see part of the Schloss, nice setting. Beers and food are more or less standard Hausbrauerei, good but not great. Normally there are four beers available at any one time. You can get them in a set of tasters.
Came there not for their beer (just standard German ones) but for the food and the atmosphere. Well, as someone said before me this is a chain brewpub, but what aboout a candlelight dinner looking at the Schloss Charlottenburg just outside? And I must admit their Eisbein is the best I’ve had in Berlin in two years...
Adjacent to the Charlottenburg’s castle the place is introduced very wide, with separate and large rooms, furnished in simple way and much typical one. Modest selection of beers. Rich kitchen with presence of typical plates served in a few minutes. Appreciable the typical German kitchen with big serving sizes. Light music in foundation. Quiet, elegant, cured… indeed pleasant.
Very busy even off season-peak. The help was harried by all the foreign tourists, but was nice enough to me, although sheesh, the service was still pretty slow. Some major outdoor street traffic but the location is decent to the Schloß and the nearby museums (really not much else in this neighborhood). Standard beers are fine, seasonals occasionally very good, but ymmv.
