Nice authentic pub with wooden table and a cool terrasse where we can see part of the beer brewing setup. Authentic Kölsch service and experience. Best Kölsch out there by a mile. It is worth a detour to Köln just to visit this place. I strongly recommend to have one Kölsch in all other places and end spend tehe rest of your time here.
Very nice brewpub on the ’outskirts’ of town. Well worth the walk from the Cathedral. A bit more flavorful kölsch than the Früh. Köbes were rushing here and there to be sure none of us had an empty glass. The family and I did not eat, but everything that was brought out of the kitchen looked wonderful.
I love this place. More so that I get to visit semi-frequently. Just sit, enjoy, eat, drink and listen. Timewarp type buzz.

One of the great pubs of the world, I rate it as highly as that. Just around the corner from our hotel, we visited it more than once and I loved it. Each of the rooms has a different ambiance, but try and place yourself just after the serving area, the beer will flow. No need for music here, that chat is loud, jocular and raucous. The waiters are the best in town, particularly the one now known to us as Millwall (you know who you are!!). The food is of Germanic proportions and surprisingly tasty. Choose a big table and you will be joined, which is what this place is about, it is friendly and down to earth, it will remain in my memory with great fondness. I will be back.
Don’t miss this great yet quirky brew pub, I entered alone in between a conference and a meet up with a friend, with not a word of German I was welcomed seated and served .. the beers kept coming, cold, tasty and refreshing. Really enjoyed the spectacle of the barmen and the serving apparatus, good spot with friends or alone with a book. Beer is the best in town
