Good rock vibe - in particular from the staff, we had a pretty cool barmaid serving us. She knew what she was selling too, and her English was good. Had a bunch of Schoppe bottles to take away. A proper boozer, shame it was a little remote and needs a train to get to from anywhere else.
We took metro to this place. Like 200m from the station very easy to find. It was monday evening (some kind of bank holiday so counts as sunday) and it was completely empty. Ok bar staff was here, but nobody else. Barmaid was chatty and spoke language too. We didn’t mind. Always interested to hear the newest beer-gossip from locals. Beer was nice. Prices not very scary. Will come back when in area.
Visited several times in the past. My husbond went there for brunch, while I was doing the Berlin marathon. Large brewpub, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Decent selection of their beers, served in ok condition. They do food as well, and their sunday brunch is good.
Decent atmosphere, with a long bar, lots of exposed brick, and the cellar brewery in view through a partially transparent floor. Feels like a neighborhood pub instead of an over-polished modern German brewpub (like so many). I enjoyed the Heller Stern, basically a clean and grassy-bitter unfiltered lager. Wheat beer was OK too. Kids enjoyed their snacks. No complaints. Big screen for matches.
no-frills brewpub with small steel brew vessels, a long matter-of-fact bar and an ok patio. staff was nice. didn’t try the food. Had their xpa (bottled, not on tap) which was just two days before the expiry date and still excellent.
