Visited March 17. Fairly residential location in north Portland that seemed to attract lots of families and locals from the immediate area. It was absolutely heaving during my Friday evening visit and I felt pretty lucky to grab a seat at the bar. Beers on tap numbered about 10 and there were also bottles available to go or for onsite consumption. For me, the beers were bang-on average. However, the offerings varied by style enough that I wasn’t disappointed by the drinking experience. Despite the crowd, the bar staff were really chill and friendly. Overall, this came across as more of a solid local brewpub than a beer destination. However, it’s located close enough to other spots that it’d be a worthy inclusion in a crawl. Not bad, overall.

There is a beer for everyone here and the food complements the beer.

Visited right after they opened at 3pm on a Thursday. Located in a neighborhood, on a small commercial corner. Nice outdoor seating, and a unique layout inside, with food up the stairs to the left, and the remaining seating and bar down the stairs to the right. The bar itself is metal, and great looking. 11 house beers on draft plus 1 guest cider. Also, located across the street from Bushwhacker Cider. Friendly service, solid happy hour prices.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

GO here in the summer. Building has an awesome exterior made for beautiful Oregon summers. Beers are all excellent have about 8-10 taps of their own brews. Interior ambiance is pretty dismal, lots of echoing not much to view. Went here for their Safe Word! Staff is awesome Beer is awesome Food is awesome One of the best breweries in Portland! If you like excellent beer and great food this is the place for you.

This location is only slightly out of the way, but it doesn’t take much to get there from downtown, as a point of reference. The ambiance is your standard brewpub. There’s nothing exciting going on here as far as looks are concerned. However, where they win in the beer and the service. I’ve had a couple of duds from Breakside, but most of their beers are awesome. Their Breakside IPA absolutely delicious. Their Passionfruit Sour is phenomenal. The food here is decent - nothing great, but nothing even remotely close to bad. I’ve always had spectacular service while here. The waits on a busy Friday night can be harsh, as a few family-type folks flock here, as they are kid friendly. All in all, it’s a great place, and you should definitely make the visit, but if you’re visiting from out of town, don’t spend too much time here.

I like this place a lot. Family friendly with tasty food and a good selection of great beer. Get’s a little too busy at times and the service can lack because of it. Recommended.
