Visited the original location in Belle-Vue in 2006 and loved it...revisited the new location in Arminius Markthalle and ... well, was not really amused much. The market hall has its own flair, although not comparable with Markthalle 9, for example, but the bar itself dissapointed me and made me sad. I remember fondly the original brewpub in a railway arch which gave me a real feel that I was at a site of actual brewing. Nothing even close to this here, just a regular beer bar with both home and guest beers on tap and barely knowledgeable staff in charge. May I be unadequately nostalgic but this was really not a pleasant return.
(Visited July 2015) Beer bar, now located inside a market hall. Had four taps with beers from their own brewery. Service was friendly and efficient, but also catered for a couple of more bars, so was a bit on or off. Kind of a weird place, a bit out of the way, but the beer is good, so it’s worth a visit, but I preferred the former location under the railway by S-bahn Bellevue. (Rating of former location: Nice brewpub located in the railway arch close to S-bahn station Bellevue. Just turn left upon leaving the station and after less than 100 meters you’ll find it beneath the railway. Not a very big place, and there is a small beer garden at the back. On my visit they had three of their own beers on tap, which is not a large selection. But on the other hand they stray a bit from the traditional German selection, serving a stout, an IPA and a very nice pilsner. And I suppose they come up with new beers all the time. Service was very friendy and knowledgeable. Food was excellent. The kitchen is located in the middle of the bar, so if you want to you can sit at the bar watching the chef prepare your meal. Will definitely come back if/when I return to Berlin. Recommended. (4/8/7/8/8/15=68))
Tiny brewpub in the middle of an indoor food market. 5 beers on tap and I didn’t see any bottles. Prices were high. When I first arrived, it looked closed as there was no one around. A bartender eventually showed up, poured me a beer, and then went AWOL again. She finally returned after a long delay and poured me another beer, which had some very unpleasant off flavors (Brewbaker seems to be infamous for infected beers). I mentioned that to the bartender, and she simply shrugged her shoulders and disappeared again. Awful service to pair with their awful beers.
Funny location for a brewery. All open within a market building. Had some of their beers there, they were okay. I had some bottles overhere in the Netherlands as well, but by then (guess somewhere 2012) infected. Anyway, I really enjoyed this place. Staff is helpfull and friendly.
01.02.214. BrewBaker. Very nice Salmon soup. When I visited they had 6 beers on tap, 3 of them I cant find on ratebeer. Good service from a helpful and friendly Bartender. The pub is located in an old market hall building. Nice place.
Nice brewpub in Arminiusmarkthalle. The place itself is astounding, both the Hall and the stand for the brewery. Five beers on tap, maybe some bottle bot I didn’t asked for. Slow service, but very nice and knowledgeable. Very nice location. Highly recommended
