Not sure who named it “Broadway’s” but the sign clearly says Broadway Liquors. Maybe that’s to differentiate it from the other Broadway Liquor in the database. In any event this is on, as you might have guessed, Broadway in Oakland. They have half a dozen fridges all the way in the back full of beer and a few bottles on the shelf. In the corner underneath of a liquor display they have some random singles, most of which are Gordon Biersch. In the fridges you can find some decent beer. In one fridge I found a mixed variety of imports including Urthel, Duvel, Hitachino, Guulden Draak, Unibroue, Lindemans, and some English beers. Mixed in that same fridge was a fair amount of “Belgian-style” beer like Allagash, Lost Abbey, and Ommegang. In the other fridges the selection was a bit more random. In some cases it’s good stuff like Drakes, Hangar 24, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, and Marin. In some cases is was not as good with the likes of Triple Voodoo, Wyders, and Napa Smith. Over all the selection was fairly random but pretty much anyone can find something worth drinking at least. Prices were a bit high but not out of line with other liquor stores. I don’t find myself saying this often but go to the Whole Foods up the street a bit for a better selection.

At first I thought this was going to be another garbage liquor store that was once decent as the first several cooler doors were full of malt liquor and quarts of High Life. Pretty varied selection of all varieties of libations, though their liquor selection seems to be their strength. There are a couple of cooler doors of singles and large format bottles (750/22) and a few doors of six packs. Good amount of Belgian, German, and other European imports (saw a handful of French beers). Lots of stuff from Marin, Moylans, Drakes, etc. The usuals from Allagash and such as well. Pretty decent store and near a whole lot of auto dealerships in case you are looking to buy a new car along with your booze.

Love this place. Incredible selection of beer and liquor. Best spot in the East Bay (Sorry, Ledger's). Big secret spot.

large Liquor store with a huge selection of beer, wine and liquors from super cheap to super fancy. Prices are reasonable, tons of refrigerated six packs and bombers. Good selection of Belgians and American micros. Impressive selection of liquor as well! Guys are reasonably friendly.
