It boggles my mind the places that get on here. This isnít a beer bar, its a neighborhood bar with 20 taps of crap. It had Daisy Cutter and Antihero then a bunch of macro. Cross this off any rb list please.

Great Tavern in the North center neighborhood of Chicago. Has around 20 beers on tap most of them micro and craft beers, they do give a nod to the macros. The food is good, with good daily specials on beer and food.

Visited August 13, 2013.

Stopped in for a quick round on the way to Half Acre. The first thing I noticed was that this place goes back a long way into the building. There is a hallway with a hostess up front and beyond that hallway is a large room with a bar in the center. The after work crowd was just starting to fill the place up. I saw a number of good taps, not too much garbage, but also not too much that you canít find anywhere else. I got a taste of a Two Brothers beer and had a Daisy Cutter. The service was very nice but I didnít stick around too long.

Great service. Awesome beer selection. Craft beers on draught. Texas queso is a great appetizer. Philly steak was fantastic! $5 Sunday buffalo chicken sandwich kicked ass. Seasoned fries were really thin and crispy. Mini burgers were tasty. Very kid friendly. Skillet cookie rocks!
