Bells Batch 7000 says a lot right? Neat little place that has good food and alwys has great brews on tap. Super funky hangout but I like this place alot.
Can be really crowded at times but still no smoking and great beer.
Visited in early October 2006. Pretty damn cool place, looks like it hasn’t been remodeled since the 40s, comfy bar/restaurant are with aged fixtures and a really nice tap selection. I didn’t try the food but my friend who visits often says good things, and no one was bowling when we were there, but atmosphere-wise this place is killer. Good service, just a nice comfy place like the Twin Cities seem to be blessed with in abundance.
It’s not a bowling alley. It’s a beer bar with eight lanes or so. Nice, varied selection though, nice to be able to have Hop Wallop on tap at the bowling aley. Decent food as well. Good place to go if you want to be a young urban hipster who wants to appear retro-cool by bowling a few games.

Visited with Pigfoot and MilkmanDan. A nice spot on a busy street, small and cramped dining and bar area up front with a few bowling lanes within view. Beer selection had a few Belgians, some Victory, and a couple of locals I think. Nice place, but not the typical beer bar - and not just because of the bowling alley - the vibe is more like a diner or cafe than a bar, but it works.

3/3/06: Went last night. Had Victory Hop Wallop, Rogue Imp Stout and Surly Furious on tap. Also had Bells Batch 7000 in bottle. Quality selection. Part of town not so nice, but only a couple blocks from nicer. 5/10/05: Cool joint. Was there during the 2005 Twin Cities "I love beer" pubcrawl. Red and black square tiles on the floor. Chalk board featuring their beers, which is always a good sign because they can CHANGE!!! Very nice selection that included Rogue Brutal Bitter and Juniper Ale (Yellow Snow) on tap. They had me there. Also had Mojo IPA and 3 Bells offerings: Oberon, 2 Hearted and Amber. And, of course there is a small bowling alley in back. What more can you ask? Recommended.
Had a lot of fun bowling and drinking. Above average selection with a couple that I was surprised with--Victory Hop Wollop. Never have seen it here in Chicago. Also, Victory Grand Cru was available. Food was way overpriced and vegetarian heavy. Good, clean fun worth a try.
It looks like a run down shack from outside and kind of looks like that on the inside. The food was okay, but overpriced. Definitely come for the beer. They have a great selection of things from all over the world. This definitely is NOT the place to come to sample all the Minnesota beers, however. There were only a few on the list. But having a Cantillon while bowling was too much fun.
Heard about this place on Ratebeer. Doesn’t look like a bowling alley on the outside...very cool vintage alley...Beer Selection was awesome...Cooper’s Stout wasn’t too bad.. Cantillon was a surprise.. Very fun place!
