Massive brewbup in a newer, somewhat upscale stripmall complex. Inside the place lacks any distinguishing style and just seems overwhelmingly large. Service was just okay despite the fact they werenít busy during the time we were there. They offered a handful of house beers but none were great; none were terrible either, but certainly nothing memorable. Food was equally forgettable; again, nothing stood out as bad, but lacked something overall. And so was my impression overall...nothing really bad, but nothing good to say either.
Dedicated parking right in front. Part of a newer strip mall. Went Thursday lunch in the summer, not busy. Service was average. Beer is cheap, but I would only buy one again. Atmosphere is typical newer restaurant. I liked the pulled pork and peach cobbler.

> Applebeeís quality beer and food
>> Stopped in here on my way home from Asheville. Menu was unimpressive, but looked like they specialized in barbecue and hey, itís in the boonies of Virginia so I took a gamble. Absolutely the worst brisket Iíve ever had, so bad that I thought for a moment I had been served dog food. Opaque poo brown color with no semblance of brisket. Canned green beans as a side. No seasoning, just dumped on the plate. Beer flight of all of their house offerings made it clear they canít make good beer either. Harsh, chemical beers with soda carbonation and lemon water palates. Overall, I just went to the best brewpub ever in Asheville, Wicked Weed, and not I think Iíve been to the worst. Server was given a spiel for each beer and went over all them with me awkwardly. I wish I could just say, "no need, Iím all set" but didnít have the balls. She then disappeared for the rest of the meal.
I have been here dozens of times. It is very well managed, the service is usually excellent, food prepared quickly, and the place is clean. I dislike the smaller than pint glasses they use for the beer, but I really like the pulled pork sandwich and the chili is second best in town. The better Scotch selections are too expensive in my opinion but they do have a few interesting ones. For BB, a solid choice.
Nice place in Blacksburg. Large conventional restaurant area complemented with a large bar. We had excellent service, food was solid with a nice selection, good options on the house beers. Weíll definitely return.
I stopped here one time. Memorial day evening 2012. Early, not too crowded yet.
I had the ribs and my daughter had the Sirloin Tip Medallions that I donít remember what they called. The ribs werenít bad, but Iíve had better. A bit dry and not "falling off the bone" yet. Her Sirloin tip was very good.
The crab cakes we had for an appetizer were ok, but needed to be a bit crispier to be A+.
The service wasnít bad, just inexperienced.
I ordered the sampler as far as beer goes. The beers were ok, but nothing that I would have wanted to take a growler home of. A bit light on flavor, most just needed a little more of everything. The stout was perhaps the best, the IPA was a good Pale Ale, the pale ale was a good amber ale and so on.
This is a very nice and new place in Blacksburg. It was packed though not as much as I expected following a home game. The service is very good. All the beers are solid, and there were 6 or 7 house beers. The food is well-prepared and quite tasty.
This brew pub is pretty large inside the dining area and the bar is large. The decor is nice and the service was good. Food was above average but was a little expensive. The beers were all pretty good and I even bought two growlers. I got the sampler for dinner and it had all 9 beers, which was nice.
Stopped by this sports bar/restaurant/brewpub on a Thursday afternoon. Itís located in a strip mall and appears to be a hangout for Virginia Tech fans. There were a fair amount of people dressed in VT garb for lunch (although Iím not sure why as there didnít appear to be a game going on...). There are numerous TVs in the bar area. Itís a spacious place and the bar is pretty long. The bar has this frozen ice bar along it where you can rest your beer (I guess to keep it cool? Iíve never seen such a thing before). As one might guess, the place offers a number of BBQ meats. I had the chicken BBQ sandwich which was ok, although I had been expecting a little better...There were ~8 tap offerings mostly consisting of your standard offerings but the ones we tried were pretty tasty. Overall a nice place to go for lunch and some beers and seems like a good place to go to watch some local sports.
