One of the most historic places in the bar/cafe industry in town. Great service and a big selection on beers. They have few international craft beers, a big selection on German-Belgian ones and a full local list.
Very nice place.
First place visited in Greece. I was with a lot of cool people, so the atmosphere was automatically great. Beerlist was reasonable big ( very big for a coffee house style bar ) I suppose around 75-100 bottles, but I didn’t count. Some very decent ones, but no shockers. The beers were served with a free dish of very nice baked potatoes and sausage, which was a bit of a surprise and a very nice plus ! Service was friendly.
Nice place to drink beers and coffee. Prigipos is a traditional Greek aristocratic cafe with a nice ambiance. Here you cand find a lot of greek micros but also some belgian, german and czech beers.7taps and several selection of bottles can make you spend an excellent night.
My first visit to a proper Thessaloniki establishment. Finally after 15 years of suffering with the usual crap almost everyone offers around here. Shame on me for letting this happen for so long. A cozy summer Monday noon, just ripe for an Imperial Stout. Bartender (3.rd generation owner) is a charming, friendly, young and serious guy who certainly loves to talk quality beer (and quality cinema). And discuss all things life, history and everything beyond. Great location, cast in the shadow of green trees, peaceful and pampering for a hot summer day. Greek beer culture is definitely well cared for here, singing the wake up song to inevitably much a rosier tomorrow. Definite bonus is the opportunity to sample greek microbreweries.
This place is near the Turkish embassy and the interior is almost a little bit eastern, old Constantinople. This is more of a Cafe but they have a very impressive selection of beers particularly greek micros. The owner is a very friendly guy and more than happy to talk beer. This place is worth visiting just for the interior! Great place.
