Placed on the first floor slightly off the main pedaestrian street. Entered shortly after opening being the first guests. Good service and we where given info about the beers when asked. Didnt try the food but we saw locals entern the place to eat while we sat there. Food seems to run a weekly schedule, monday was listed as schnitzel tag with 10 different schnitzels..
Nice old fashioned interior upstairs from the street. The service was friendly but understaffed and quite challenged when you ordered something. The beer is not bad, but the all-you-can-eat buffet is not especially noteworthy.
The interior is nice, but there are multiple TVs showing Bundesliga (Soccer), which makes it more a bar for me then a restaurant. We got seated next to the smokers room, which door didn’t close properly. This is also the reason I couldn’t rate, but the beer didn’t taste so good anyway. When we asked to be seated elsewhere the waiter rudely (and I’m from bavaria, rude is our nice, but these guys...wtf) just said that there is no smoke. The food was nice. Also the girls bathrooms must have been a mess (according to my gf), didn’t use the male ones. I think, at the time the waiter realized he won’t get any tips, it was hard to get a hold of him. So my advise, just if you need the ratings or when you’re really hungry (so were we).
Came here on a Saturday evening to have some food and since I been to all the more interesting options in town. The place was packed, I only found a seat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. Beers not very interesting. I found the place rather pricey, especially also the food. Food was decent though. Overall I would recommend Sophies instead, which I liked better for both food and beers.
Visited for a 3rd time on the afternoon of Sunday 08/02/15 around 3 pm.
Upstairs bar in a moderm city centre concrete block all the charm of a dose of the clap from the outside and rather muted wooden decor, dim and dated within.
Service was good but there were no more than 8 or 9 other customers.
3 house beers on this visit, no seasonal so weisse, schwarze and pils. Beers were ok but nothing great. The weisse was €4.80 for 0.5L, an outrageous price for standard brew pub fodder.
Come for quick ticks and move on, all the atmosphere of the moon, the Paulaner gaff just up the street shits on here for ambiance.
I was in Stuttgart for works some days ago and this brewpub really helped me to get relaxed after work.
The brew production is quite in line with the German standard, low fermentation and various interpretation of the classic styles of German’s brew.
Anyway the beer are very fine, i particularly appreciated the PIls and the Schwarz ones.
Food is really good, and I will not sya more, just try it if you can!
Prices are good, if you’re interested in; the only thing that left me confused was the service. I had to wait a lo of time just to say "hey, guys! Hello! I’m over here.... hey! Where can I sit? HEllo? There’s no one?"
Have it good and go sampling, it’s a nice place!
