Good daytime foreray. After 7:00PM most customers are drunks. Nice selection of micros, fair selection of singles. Henry is trying, but hard to be too great given the location and clientele.
Update 3/02/2009: All new coolers and much nicer looking than before. Most of the beers are now refrigerated and when I visited the display lights were off. Much cleaner and better organized than previously. The 12 ounce singles are still on room temperature shelves and under flourescent lighting. I have often found the 12 ounce singles can be fairly old so watch out. Otherwise a gem in a town that doesn’t have many alternatives.
Has an descent selection of local brews for Salem. Worth traveling north to Portland.

An old Grocery store, looks like it hasn’t changed since 1950. Near Williamette University.
Has a pretty good selection( for Salem) of NW micros, plus a nice selection of imports, including Thomas Hardy 2004 ($20.99) a four pack.
A recent turn of events. The owner now discourages singles, so im reducing the score further.
This store really isnt worth the bother, even in Salem.
Re-evaluation.Now sells singles and the beer line up has increased drastically.
Guy is really trying to make a go of it.
Got to give him kudos and custom in the hellish neighbourhood he inhabits.
