Not a bad place. Stopped in for a quick bite and a few brews. Their kolsch was the best of the 3 beers I tried while there. The place itself is typical of a brewpub with a helpful staff. The food id typical brewpub fare and decent enough. Worth a stop if in the area, but not worth going out of your way for.
Stopped in to have a Fuel. Busy Saturday night, so we sat at the bar and had a quick pint. Service was distracted but friendly when they got to you. About half of their offerings were not available. Menu didn’t look that impressive.
It was a great place to go before a game when they had happy hour specials. $2.50 pints of anything. But that has stopped as far as I know. Food is good. Beer is typical brewpub stuff. Pale Rider Ale and the Prohibition Porter are my favs but with no happy hour specials just go to RFD.
Not a bad joint. Took the family here and was concerned that it would turn out to be a bomb with decent beer. Well, other than the smoke (I’m from smoke free DE) and the LOUD crowd (Thur night), this place was pretty good. The service was great (the waiter very friendly and provided a nice meal tip: the beer marinated steak), the food was excellent, and the value was solid. The beer selection (only 5 on tap that night) was mediocre, but the quality good (not outstanding). I’d head back any day (wife and kids were cool with it in the end).
Just a couple blocks from the DC International Hostel where I was staying. Great food, nice service and a decent selection. A wide open area inside in a nice metropolis style looking building. The beer selection was a few shy of the main location.
I did not try any food, son a N/A on the food, I did a sampler, it is a flight of five but they went ahead and let me try two more on tap, so I was able to try all the beers they had. Pretty coold bartendar, and answered all my questions. the sampler came and sample "mugs", no cards or flight notes, so I had to jot down real quick what each was before I forgot since they gave them all to us at once. This is the only location where they do not brew on location, but atmosphere is pretty good, off a crowded street, relatively busy for around 2-3 in afternoon. I did not check out any guest taps, I was only there for their beer. pretty good place.
pretty neat place. I just came in to get the sampler, they only had 5 of their beers on tap, which was kinda poo, but the service was really good. It would be nice to eat here soemtime, the atmosphere seemed nice as well.
Nice location. Large open two story high ceiling. Great atmosphere (can’t smoke in DC bars anymore). Good selection of beer varieties. Service was fast and the employees were nice, even for it being a busy time.
