Visited september 2016. As in other Morebeer establishments, the hoppy beers are dead, but the selection is good nevertheless. The major disappointment here was the food, which is mediocre at best, but in some cases it’s just awful. The salad and fries were great though!
Third place visited the 24th September 2016 during the MoreBeer pub crawl. On a quiet street, this place is really small. Modern ambiance inside. Good beer selection. Staff is friendly. Food is good but really expensive. I highly recommend you to eat somewhere else! For sure the worst place during the pub crawl!
Bit of a walk from the center but an agreeable tram ride. Located in a very quite & bit deserted almost alley-like street. Very quite, we sat outside. Service was friendly & helpful. Good amount of taps, some new Jopen beers but more than just Jopen beers. Tap selection was pretty interesting & good. Place isn’t very big but big enough. Prices are agreeable for Amsterdam. I didn’t try the food. Overall I liked it, nice selection, some new beers for sure & a quite place. Not bad at all.
Small bar on a quiet street just off the hustle and bustle (and a tram route, so it’s easily reachable). Inside is just a few bar tables, and then there are half a dozen or so tables out on the sidewalk. Fairly plain interior. Friendly staff. Decent selection. I would return to try the food.
Visited last month when still called Jopen Proeflokaal. Small bar, quiet and clean looking. Little terrace out front, decent tap list with some locals and international beer, even a retired beer from Jopen themselves. Close to the Melkweg where I went before. Nice!
Near the Leidseplein, this cozy taproom has a short bar with 6 stools facing around 30 taps, 10 of which dispense guest beers. There are several tables to seat 30 or so additional guests. This is a friendly place where the barkeep and the customers will engage in conversation about beer or anything else of interest. The food menu looks good, but I had just eaten before I arrived. There is also a cold case containing quite a few bottles. They serve a wide range of Jopen beers here.
Clean and a bit bare bones place that looks more like a small restaurant actually. Maybe no so surprising since it’s a "gastro pub" or something. Lots of Jopen beers and a few guests. Friendly service. Big plus is that it’s 100 metres the Melkweg so it’s convenient to have a drink before or after concerts, or even during boring ones!
Small place, with around 30 taps with Jopen and Morebeer. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is okay but relative expensive.

Visited on a thursday evening. Quite small place in a horrible side street of the horrible touristy streets leading to the horrible Leidseplein. Place was quite busy, but thats not hard seeing how small it is, especially for a restaurant. Taplist has mostly Jopen, without a lot of rarities, but mostly the core Jopen range. 10 guest taps have some good beers, but dont expect to find new ticks among them. Food was decent, but not really large portions. And 3 euro’s for coleslaw? Seriously? Also, seems to just cruise on the hipster train. I wasnt impressed at all and dont see me going back any time soon.
