Incredible find in beer-poor Madrid. Along with Cafeke, these two bars present you with basically your only options for beer choice. I rate the selection so high mostly because in comparison, this bar does quite well, stocking German and good Canadian beers along with the normal Belgian array. Interesting tap selections as well, including a rotating beer of the week. Wonderful beer-drinker’s environment. The woman serving the beer knows her math, don’t doubt her.
I’ll keep the original review, but in terms of its competition, this bar has fallen in terms of unique collection, though the collection remains large.
This was a fantastic place, that even made it into the Guinness Book of Records for having the most beers in the smallest place (quite a strange record, but one nonetheless).
Service was formidable and the selection, amazing. Now they’ve moved to the opposite corner, to a bigger place. Keep it up!
the bar is nice. the beer selection is okay, belgian, german, uk and some foreign beers (flying dog). i have been there twice, the first was around lunch time and the waiter was ok. the second time in on a weekend night and the service was rather disappointing. i mean, pouring a beerbottle as fast as possible into a glass with yeast deposit and everything is not what i expect from a beer bar. there are better places to go to in that neighbourhood.
