1st I need to apology to the owners and staff for not rating this sooner. This is my go to place to get beer. They have the best prices for beer and wine bar none. I just got back from picking up hopslam 11.00, expedition 12.00, stone ab 3.29 and rare vos for 6.99. They just expanded the beer section to include more Mi. and other micro beers. The staff that is on the floor are knowedgeable about the beer and wine. The only draw back is that they do not have a single section but I do not hold that against them, but with the low prices you can buy 2 or 3 or more different 6ers if you want a sample. If you are in the Detroit area this is a place to stop and stock up on all those beers you like to drink. A little added bonus that they offer is the they do beer and wine tastings and the proceeds go to local charities so check out the website to see what is they are doing.

Great selection of beer and wine. Knowledgable staff. Great prices considering their selection and inventory.

This place has food, candy, nuts, chocolate, fudge, lots of wine, hard stuff and a moderate selection of beer. The prices seemed good. I bought bombers of Stone’s Double Bastard for only $4.49. I wish they had singles to choose from. I would have bought much more beer. As it was I grabbed a couple sixers and one four of Founders, a sixer from Bells and Victory. I’d say less than 10% of the selection is singles. The place had added interest for the seven year old that was with us. They had a mountain lions, a bob cat and an eight foot tall brown bear on display in plexiglass cases.

Made it back here since my ’07 visit. They have expanded the beer selection. What I like is they offer the best local selection they can get their hands on and beer guy Michael said they will split up any MI brewed six or four pack they have. I was also told they try to get Kuhnhenn but the distributor won’t deal with small volume stuff. So that stinks. But they do not have it due to lack of trying.

So I’ve made it back here a couple times since my initial review back in 2007. The selection has only gotton better and now I find a sweet Kuhnhenn selection on top of all the Dark Horse, Atwater, Founders, Bells, Shorts, Arcadia, Dragonmead, etc. Michael has just about all bottled MI brewed beers represented here, well done. Not sure how he could improve upon what he has local wise. I also see a nice assortment of imports such as Mikkeller and the like. Go here and beermail Michael ahead of time to let him know when you plan to visit.

Still Great Beer Prices. The Craft Beer Tasting was a great value. Tried 23 different beers with appetizers included. Michael in thier beer dept. told me that they are planning on having more events and should firm up a Bock tasting for March 20 sometime early next week. The food provided at the beer tastings has been excellant, sadwiches and bacon wrapped bread sticks, Yum.

Spacious liquor store with a good sized beer section. Fair Belgian selection, Bells, Founders, Avery, Arcadia, Dark Horse, Jolly Pumpkin, etc. Pretty inexpensive, about $7 for a sixer for most, $5 for 750 of Jolly Pumpkin. Located 1/2 mile down Chicago Road from Kuhnhenn making it an easy trip because I know you’re all going to Kuhnhenn anyway. Apparently theres a Champanes pub connected to the store but it’s closed on weekends which was when I was there. So, if anyone gets there during the week look for the pub as well.
