Perfect place to chill with the kids. They had games that kept them occupied, plus snacks, while my wife and i enjoyed several beers while we were seated out on the patio on a sunny afternoon. Selection was great for this out-of-towner interested in trying a range of beers unavailable where I live. I can’t imagine not frequenting this place if I was in the area.

I’m low maintenance (i.e. not a snob) and I liked the variety and quality of a lot of what these guys stock. Easily out-does any bottleshop I’ve seen in Chicago (including Beer Temple and West Lakeview). And (super bonus) there’s an Uncle Ike’s just down the block so you can go get some herb before or after you pick up some barley soda. I’d totally go back next time I’m in Seattle.

Local neighborhood bottle shop and tasting room with food trucks outside. The back wall of coolers does look impressive and their inventory is substantial, but they are sorely lacking imported beer... very few Belgian products and I cased the entire place and don’t think I saw one German beer (but must have counted like 8 Red IPAs, which is a gross thing that shouldn’t exist). So that gives you an idea about their focus. It’s a nice little neighborhood spot to pop into every couple of weeks to see what’s new, especially for local beer. But it’s not a place I want to hang out, read a book, meet people, while having a beer. Kind of lazy in design with a warehouse feel to it, boxes piled everywhere like someone’s unkempt garage, tables and chairs up against racks of potato chips, television menus behind the bar that give it that casino sports book ambiance, families and children and loud, wet dogs that want to lick you. That is not okay.

I lived in Seattle for 2 years and didn’t even know this place existed for the first 6 months. After that it became a mainstay for me. The location is great b/c its a quiet spot away from a lot of the hustle and bustle. Street parking was never to tough and they have a very small lot. Food trucks vary and are fun. It has lots of outdoor and indoor seating but gets loud inside. One reason it gets loud is its kid and dog friendly, which were useful to me. They also sell ice cream, hot dogs, and chips if the food truck is not to your liking. The beer list is large, ever changing, and very affordable. My fave place for tap list, half pours, crowlers, growlers, whatever you want. Bottles are little pricey to go but a bargain if you are staying. It was a great place to go with friends and buy a bottle for $2 more than standard retail price but half the cost it would usually be in a bar. Bartenders were always very friendly. Some old beer sits around, so be careful but they get new stuff quickly. Really miss this place. Highly recommended for out of towners.

The other Chuck’s in town, and it is just as amazing as the one on 85th. The inside architecture is a bit more straightforward, though, and it seems to be a little bit easier to reach from downtown. The place is, again, a must: A huge taplist of locals meets an immense bottle selection of all sorts of things. Also, you can get 4oz samplers of any tap and make your own flights (with prices calculated on the fly) - don’t be confused by the "IPA flight" or "Cider flight" sheets.

Chuck’s is a pretty large space with a bunch of table in the main area, a bar behind the front registers (with 50 taps of awesome) and back wall lined with coolers. They also have a decent patio area, too. They have a few shelves of warm beer, too. The tap list was really great, with loads of different styles and lots of harder to find stuff. The bottle selection was big and loaded with good brews. Lots of seasonal and special releases. Staff was quick and friendly. A top notch bottle shop for sure.

Fantastic selection of bottles, one of the best in the city. It’s hard to beat this place. Also 50 beers on tap, with a decent selection. Flights are only available for ciders and IPAs for some reason -- would be nice if they allowed them for all taps. Prices are reasonable - standard for Seattle. Very helpful staff. The interior has room for lots of seating. A very cozy place to hang out to sample some beers. Awesome place.

An awesome bottle shop with 50 taps, great food trucks and a really cool staff. Beer selection is simply extraordinary. Located only a few blocks from my friend’s house. Yeah, I’d visit them all the time to walk here.
