This is a great place locally to get the beer you want. They will even order one bottle for you if they can. Very friendly and willing to help. They have tastings every so often, but you must keep an eye out for these because they still have not e-mailed any specials to me yet.
By far the best place in W-S. I just went in there yesterday and Halelujah, they had 3 guys stocking the shelves with new high gravity beers. They’re getting in a ton of Dogfish Head, including my favorite, 90 Minute. They had a full line of Rogue Imperial stuff in the ceramic bottles. Some of the six packs are kind of lame. But I think this will all change very soon. They may be a little overpriced. But you can buy single bottles which is nice.

very good selection of wine in large price range from dirt cheap to very old and expensive ones. have an average selection of home brew products. cool collection of old beer cans on display. glasses for sale. small selection of beers to try but among them some very unique jewels can’t find anywhere else around here.
This is one great beer and wine shop. I love the feel of the place, hardwood floors and jazz music accompained with some great beer. The selection was great and will only get better with the new 6% law. They also have a great home brew section and the owner was a big help with starting me off on my first home brew experience. One of my favorite shops in the city!
This is a great beer shop in NC. They by far have the best selection in town. With the new law +6% I hope to see a lot of good beer coming in. Service is friendly and very helpful.

This place is my oasis of beer in what is otherwise the most drab beer desert in the Universe. First they freaking open at 9 in the morning...crazy. Second they certainly have the best selection in town with the laws they have to deal with around here. I have bought, Boon Mariage Parfait Kriek (1996). Not bad for a state with a 6% beer law. The prices are a little steep I am afraid. $9 for a half size bottle of Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus...come on. However they are the only competeing faction in town aside from the Whole foods which won’t break up sixers and which doesn’t have as solid a selection. The owner isn’t much help and could use some help with his ordering but otherwise you must stop here for good beer in Winston-Salem,NC
We walked here from the Adam’s Mark. I have to say that downtown Winston-Salem was DEAD on a Saturday late afternoon. You probably won’t have any problems finding this place or finding a parking spot.
The store itself seems to cover both wine and beer pretty equally. Most of the beer is in a cooler but they do have a small section at room temp as well. There is also a small selection of glassware. The best part is they allow you to get mix-n-match 6ers of just about anything they have in 6 packs for $11. I found a nice selection of NC beers (Highland, OBX etc) as well as some other micros, and even a ’98 Anchor OSA. They do what they can with such limited space.
The staff was all very helpful, and even made recommendations on a good place to watch the OSU game.
All in all, aside from Old Salem and maybe a jazz bar or two, this place is a must-stop for a beer lover visiting the city.
