One of my favorite restaurants in the city however this review is just for beer purposes in the tap room. Came in for pre-concert drinks. Nice selection local brews for a high end restaurant but they are not cheap. service is great and if you get the chance to eat DO IT!

the atmosphere is good when the place is open. high brow types all around. the food is good and the service as well. the brews and food are overpriced. the glassware is usually right. and you get to eat and drink where a famous name is involved....America!

For people that are familiar with Craft, Craft Bar, Craft Steak (etc.), and/or Bravo’s Top Chef, you probably know that this place is more about the food then the beer, as with most of Tom Collicchio’s restaurants. However, if you are looking for solid pint while dining on some creative food offerings, this place has a nice mix of both. As long as you go in expecting the bar area of a trendy restaurant, you will get what you expected. It isn’t a craft beer bar by any means, but the bar has some decent craft beer. The prices are a bit high, but on par with what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

I read about this place a while back and wanted to try it, thinking that it might be an exciting new craft bar. No such luck. This is more like the bar area of a fancy restaurant, with a good-sized dining room and a bar. There are a bunch of craft brews on tap, but they are not the best, and they are unquestionably overpriced. I paid $10 for a mediocre pint of brown ale (that was going for $9 on the beer list). The atmosphere is modern and corporate, with some odd touches, like the large, odd-looking wine rack stretching up to the high ceiling. (Of course they have a lot of wines here too). And if you want to watch a game here, forget it, there are no TVs. The staff was friendly and good-looking. I did not try the food, but this is supposed to be a very good restaurant, and head chef Tom Colicchio is a culinary celebrity. You might want to try this place for the food or the reputation, but I don’t recommend it for beer geek activities.
