A strip mall place in Kearny Mesa and near other San Diego beer haunts. The place is open yet loud but retains a local hangout vibe. There are 32 well-selected drafts along with a few craft bottle selections. The food is pretty good and definitely rich, and at reasonable prices, particularly during happy hour.

Big building, lots of seating at the bar or at tables. Garage doors on one end of th building, open air. A big U shaped bar. Good friendly service. Well, it was great service (almost to aggressive) until we ordered food, then she dissapeared. I finally ended up ordering from the Bar, she came up and was NOT happy I didn’t order from her. I told her we waited, but nobody showed up so I ordered myself, she was pissed but say anything thing.

New restaurant with solid SoCal taps and craft beer focus, better than average food, and modern decor. In a strip mall with a bunch of Asian restaurants about a block away from San Diego institution O’Briens. Food is a notch or two above its stalwart neighbor and solid tap and bottle list. Service is quick and unobtrusive More taps than O’Briens, but ’quality’ is slightly lower. Happily enjoyed a Coronado 18th anniversary IIPA and split a Cascade Sang Royale bottle with a buddy over a good steak sandwich.
