Elmwood location in Kenmore. Newly redone. Theres a bunch of locations around the Buffalo area, some are good, some not so good. The selection is pretty solid, with some big name American micros (Stone, Avery, Anderson Brothers, Southern Tier, etc.) and some good imported stuff also. Fairly priced (5.99 average bomber). Staff at this location doesn’t know much, but they are friendly. Consumer’s seems like their trying to bring some better stuff to their stores. A few locations now have a respectable selection of beers on tap. Worth a stop in if your in the area.
Stopped at the Elmwood location. They had a decent selection of New England and Midwest beers with some West coast stuff in there too. Prices seemed a little steep, but I’m not used to the NY prices. The one thing that kinda pissed me off about the place was the fact that they don’t take credit/debt cards. Good thing I had $80 in cash on me. A decent place, but nothing compared to the Premier Gourmet when it comes to selection.
Pretty decent store. Just a couple minutes from Premier Gourmet which helps it and hurts it because they don’t have as good of a selection, but they are generally cheaper than Premier. Growler fills are a big plus. This store has the ass backwards policy of not accepting credit, but has an ATM for you to pay the lovely service fees while you take your money out to pay for their beers. That’s always been my main gripe. Otherwise, it’s a pretty solid store that’s on par with the Niagara Falls and Orchard Park locations
Decent store. Prices tend to be on average cheaper then Premier Gourmet but there a lot fewer singles available as well. Staff is friendly and range in knowledgability from mediocre to pretty good. Good store overall, but I would hesitate to buy anything fragile that didn’t have a readable expiry date - I have seen some Victory products well past their date.
