2017-01-14. Stopped for drinks and a second lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was moderately busy. Seating is mosty high-top tables, stools have backs thankfully. Tables are closer together than my preference but most people probably won’t care. Server is friendly and efficient, and seemed to know a bit about the beer which is always good. Solid tap list and a few casks available. Club sandwich was decent. Menu is relatively short, lacking in snack sized options but seems decent overall. Decor is nice, and I like it but has a newness about it that I personally don’t like quite as much as an older "worn in" place. Overall I quite enjoyed it. Beer list is good so it’s a worth stop if you are in the area.

With the Honest Ed’s and Mervish Village redevelopment, the Victory Cafe is closing and its owner’s have opened the Crafty Coyote as its successor. A different vibe, but their allegiance to craft beer is retained, with 3 casks being on tap at all times. I tried two that were served perfectly, I.e. not too cold! Great food, service and cask beer near two subway stations: what’s not to like!
