My first ’australian’ themed pub, is located in ’austria’ . this to avoid all missunderstandings , i supose :) the selection here was OK. for sure above average in Vienna, but not enough to especially travel to. Unexpectedly, the waitress spoke our home language, since she was from the Netherlands. this is a nice change to a city where 70 % of the people seemed not to speak anything else than german ( no English either ) and she was very friendly. I liked the interior and the atmosphere, even though it’s not what you’d expect from a beerplace. Not to bad !

This is an Australian theme pub with nothing of interest for beer lovers. I’ve no idea why it’s on this site. 1516 down the road is where you need to be.

Crossfield’s is kind of an oldtimer in the Vienna pub scene. It has been around for quite a while, but it never struck me as a very interesting beer place. I came here for dinner a couple days ago, after not having been here for a couple years or so. The most interesting beer on the menu "Little Creatures Pale Ale" was (I almost would say not too suprisingly) not available. The selection is not too small, but mostly beers you find easily in other places too, like Fullers, Brewdog, Schneider Weisse, Weihenstephaner, ... On tap they have Fullers and then some beers with australian theme names that apparently are all brewed by Ottakringer. In summer they have some outside sitting. The place has two areas, the entrance area with the bar (and smoking allowed) and then the downstairs area for non smokers. The food was below average. My friend had fish and chips with which I think he was happy enough. I had a burger which I did not like (and I am usually not that picky). The burger was eatable, but the quality of the meat was not good and it was too stuffed with sauce (to give it more flavour I guess). Also the fries were rather too soft for my liking. Overall from a beer drinking perspective (or if you are hungry) not recommended. On a side note, service was good though.

ok bar with some good and some not so good australian beers. Nothing out of the ordinary though and certainly not a must-visit beerplace in vienna

A great place to hang out at the night, opened until late, cool service. They have few beers brewed for them, some Australian stuff, I reckon, I was there long time ago (2004), so can’t rate beers themselves although had gallons. Nice memories. If you’re in the city for a few days go there.

Very cool pub. Good selection of australian ales. Serving several ciders. Great atmosphere and service. English speaking stuff. Will certainly be visited next time in Wien
