Small bottle shop with small bar and a couple tables. Service was good, especially since nobody else was there during my visit. There is a limited selection of beers on display, but provide a list or ask for certain beers and other beers may be available.
I must have passed this shop an infinite amount of times in my life, but finally visited it for the first time (11th of April, 2018 or something). First of all: the owner, Rudy Vossen, is a very amiable and passionate chap who makes great suggestions. The selection is small, but unique and remarkable. Lots of new brews, others of which I hadn't even heard, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. There is a bar and Rudy only serves what's in the fridge at that moment, or a foreign beer from tap if you're lucky. Do yourself and Rudy a favour and buy his own Vier Monniken Monachus XII - knock yourself out!
Visited several times in the past years. Rudy Vossen runs this special little place in a manner that is half bottle shop, half pub, and also - much more modestly - uses it as a platform for his own Bierboom beers, brewed at Bryggja. He is the most welcoming and friendly beer guy you'll find anywhere in Brugues and his enthusiasm, especially in discussing his own brewing projects, is unmatched. Prices are remarkably cheap especially for Brugues, and tasting evenings are sometimes held here as well. Bottle selection is not the largest in town but in any case very eclectic and I never leave the place without having extra ticks in my notebook... Always a delight, this place, it's about time I get back there again, especially now that Rudy has participated in a new brewing project (Vier Monniken).
This place is very basic. You can drink beers from the fridge but the actual place itself is very basic, simple table and chairs, nothing fancy. However the owner is very nice and we had a good chat about beer and his own brewing pieces, so make sure you chat to Rudi. Beer selection reduced a bit but fantastic value. Nice to support something so independent.
Nice bottle shop a little outside of the city center, but still easy to reach. Bar in the back and some bottles in the front. No extremely large amount of beers, but much more interesting stuff, than in most of the tourist traps in the center. Very friendly service.
Visited on 10th December 2016. A little stroll out of town this is a little bottle shop with a seating area out the back. Shelves at the front of the shop stocked a good array of beer from Belgium plus a few from further afield. Picked up several Christmas beers here, prices were much lower than elsewhere in town, service decent. Worth a stroll out there.

Very small beer store with a nice bar in the back. The first really likeable beer store I found in Bruges after several of tourist traps, located in a quiet area. Interesting and diverse selection of mainly Belgian beers, but also some Americans and other internationals. Found some real gems and rarities that I did not encounter anywhere else in this town (while the Struise shop was closed that day). Not all beers you see are for sale, unfortunately, as the owner stores some of his own beers in the fridge or on the shelves. The man himself is very friendly though, he really seems to like talking about beers and is proud of his new acquisitions. Finally a shop with normal prices as well, one reason more to visit this shop and leave alone the touristy places, even though they might have a bigger selection.
Rudy always manages to find some hidden Belgian beer ticks that even the most specialized beer shops seem to miss, I don’t know how he does it! :-) Friendly owner, super service and prices are reasonable for Bruges. Keep it up, Rudy!
What a fantastic find (well it was all those years ago when I first went here): This shop-cum-bar is two doors down from De Kelk and well worth walking those extra 10 yards. There are bigger beer stores with larger selections in Brugges, there are certainly smarter and better appointed drinking establishments, but this is special.
It is by far the cheapest and friendliest beershop/bar I’ve visited in Brugges. The cold fridge has all bottles at 2 Euro or 2.50 Euro to be drank at the back of the shop: there is a small bar area, plus a few tables and chairs. Toilets out the back are a little rural and rustic, but clean and absorbing.
I have now been back many, many times and still think it the best ’hidden gem’ in Brugge, even the wife likes walking out to it (she thinks it a bit grubby but lovely non-the-less).
Rudi and his wife are great people, we exchange beers on all my visits, I always buy a load as well. Love the place. Last visited on 4th Dec 2015, then again in Feb 2016, fridge beers up in price a little but still the cheapest place in town for good quality beers.
