Student bar with lenient opening hours. Bar tender was a friendly and patient. Not much originality in the beer menu, but what’s there is mostly from the better Belgian classic brewers. Nice sitting outside and join the locals. Yeah, not so bad at all, just don’t expect anything of modern craft styles.
Place just off the Old Market in Leuven. Therefor less mainstream than some other bars in Leuven. I have the impression that there are always more tourists/international students then locals.
As everywhere in Leuven I found that the background music wasn’t background anymore, but that could be my ears. ;)
Brown bar, nice but old fashionned interior, but really charming. Service was friendly and fast.
I crossed this place like a thousand times but never stepped in until yesterday. I might go back once, but it was a bit too expensive.
Easily one of the more interesting beer lists in Leuven, with some real lambics and oddities. Classier and quieter than the student boozers on the nearby Oude Markt. I like the classroom map of Belgium hanging over the sofa. A side room and sidewalk tables offer more space. No food, but there are board games.
Cosy pub in the city centre. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Rather small but very well chosen selection of beers (around 60 different beers, most of them regional). I often go there just to read a book whilst enjoying the "beer of the month".

We (Loz and Fin) visited here on Saturday 28th April 2012. Nice little bar with a very good beer selection and a nice range of regional beers as well. Good selection of music being played and the place seemed very friendly. I had a Tumulus Magna and Loz had a Leuvense Tripel, both were very good. Will definitely come here again as I think that a longer stay in Leuven is definitely on the cards.
