A jenever bar with 10 beers you can get anywhere else. Avoid

Really a Jenever bar with a very small beer selection (around 5 taps and 10 bottles) of very standard stuff, there’s really no point going here as a Ratebeer destination. The bar itself is old, a little run down and quiet with classical music playing.
Classic pub in the centre of Antwerp, on a corner opposite to the Groote Witte Arend. Brownish, cosy interior, very enjoyable with decent service, but I don’t see why this is even rated here in the first place: this is a jenever bar, not a beer bar. They do have some beers (I had the Rader beers there years ago - not coincidentally made with jenever) but there is no reason why anyone searching for specialty beers, should visit this place...
As been stated below , this is not a RB place . I supose it is like mekka if you like jenever , but beerwise its a 0 , the housebeers mentioned by torino were unknown to the waitress ... Leaving only de komink , grimbergen , etc to drink , berr-wise , if you only even ever wanna try jrnever this is a must go , prob would make a great place on ratejenever.com ...,
Service was friendly ( lets not judge her on beerknowledge since this is not a beerplace ) prices ( for beer , no idea on the jenevers ) are average to low .
Good place , but not for beer .
This was one of the earlier stops on our walking tour / bar hopping trip in Antwerpen. The draw here is that they have two house beers made with genever as well as several real genevers available. The beers tasted like rum and I’m apparently not a fan of genever, though it is more palatable than most liquors. We showed up in the late afternoon so the place was pretty empty and service wasn’t bad once we were actually served. The beer selection isn’t overly extensive but they have a couple of decent choices on there. Now that I’ve tried the genever-infused beers I don’t have much need to come back here.
Open but not a Ratebeer place, I would "unlist" it. Small place, with strange interior decoration, very old, not impressive. The beer selection is very limited (4 tap beers and 12 bottles, very normal). This is mostly a place for distillates, such as jenever; and I would go back for that, not for the beer.
Right across De Groote Witte Arend – to be honest I didn’t even realized that this place has beer because this is a Jenever bar first & very foremost. Lots of Jenever’s to try, plenty of flavours, cool little place, nice service. Fun place to visit & hangout, apparently some brews & beer based Jenever’s available. Close to the centre, lots of other options nearby & well worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.
Great genever bar in Antwerp (there’s a store across the alley as well). Not the greatest beer selection, but make sure to try the Rader beers with gin/genever distillate in them. Pretty decent service, nice atmosphere, and good genevers.
