Visited February 6, 2014 in the evening, just before going to Bateau de Nuit. Small convenience store between the bar Bateau de Nuit and Old Quebec, in a neighborhood with a lot of convenience stores with a good beer selection, but this one is solid. It looks small but go to the counter, turn right and here are the beers. It doesn’t look like a big solection, but it is, all compact. Friendly staff, they seemed knowledgeable.

Leur emplacement actuel est moins bon que leur ancienne. L’endroit est très petit, avec une bonne sélection par contre. Les prix sont très bas, un bel avantage car la competition est très grande. Le personnel est acceuillant et repond bien au questions!
I have not visited all the top places in town, but that’s the address I go to if looking for a large selection at reasonable prices in the area. As good a selection as most good stores in the province and the couple of times I visited, the staff seemed educated and very interested and interesting. While it’s on a small street requiring a steep climb, its location remains very close to the action.
I was in town for only a couple of days and was more focused on visiting beer bars that buying beer to drink in my hotel room...however...after visiting Bateau de Nuit...they told me the store was a must visit. They were right! It’s a great place down a side street...small but with no wasted space. As soon as I entered Matthew asked if he could help me (obviously recognizing an American somewhat lost in a French craftbeer store...LOL!). When I explained I was a hop fan in town for a short time and wanted to know what the Province of Quebec had to offer...he knew just want to recommend. I walked out of the store with a bottle of Houblonniere (hoppy blonde ale), and a Brasserie Dun Ham. The first was amazing...the second...pretty darn good. Thank you Matthew and La Duchesse d’Aiguillon! I highly recommend a visit to this store when visiting Quebec City.
Been here a few times. A typical depanneur with an excellent beer selection. Friendly staff will help you make your choices. And the location is such that you will have to exercise (those are steep hills!). They laso have some products for tasting the time I went. A must in Qc City.
My favorite beer store in town. Owners know their stuff, and provide good counselling. Prices are fair, beers are good. Limited space available, but they do get pretty much all the good stuff (i.e. limited release bottles). Their beers can go fast, but in a way its a good thing: the stuff is fresh. [Note: indeed, my score is adapted to the fact that this store is located in Quebec, so the selection has pretty much no way to be decent regarding to out-of-province beers).
Great little bottle shop only a short walk up a steep hill, haha, that’s Quebec City, great for walking. Got there and the guy straight away gave me a taste of Mackroken Broken Flower BA, very nice, it worked as I bought a bottle. Great selection of Canadian beers, got some nice beers, just wish I had another case with me!!
We went here on a recent trip to Quebec to stock up on local microbrews before returning to the US. The selection is vast, and one of the owners spent a lot of time with us introducing different breweries and helping us dial in our selections. Its definitely worth the effort to seek them out.
Nice convenience store (although it gets WAYYYYY too hot in the Summer), knowledgeable staff, competitive prices. Only problem is the store is so small, sometimes, their selection is not on par with other local stores that have a larger warehouse...Otherwise, great, great place.
