Probably the best Pizza’s I’ve ever had.
Staff were friendly and spoke English well enough, or if the owners are there they are native English speakers. Great range of beers of tap, so good I was there 3 times over my holiday. They plan on brewing their own beer on site soon, I had one of the beers that Baird make for them, and it was amazing. Great location, great bar.
Small well lit bar with a few outdoor tables. Mostly young Japanese guys looking at their phones. Painfully slow and incompetent service, sat around for 10 minutes before being given a menu, didn’t get a plate with my pizza, etc. 5 japanese taps (3 of which were out on my visit) and 10 california/PNW taps which would by hard to come by even in the US. Similar beer prices to most other beer places in Tokyo. The pizza is pretty good and mostly accurate in style, but the price is simply ludicrous for the amount of food you get. I had to buy a second dinner (at 1/2 the price!) at a different bar later. Not worth a stop for food or japanese beer, but a good choice for some rare US beers.
Updated again. Great service with the pizza times really improving. We received 2 pizzas within 25 minutes of ordering on a Friday night. Very impressed. The food was amazing as usual. No issues with overcharging. The beers all came out quickly in great condition as well. Very nice time had.
Really disappointed. Beer list is mostly from the USA but very average quality beers. The beers from Japan were pretty low quality too. When I visited, we almost left because we couldn’t find something decent to order.
If you want good beer in Tokyo, check out Craftheads in Shabuya instead.
Close walk to the JR Kanda Station, conveniently on the Yamanote loop. From the street, and upon entering, only the first floor (of 3) is visible. Looks tiny and cramped. Walked in and were led to the 2nd floor. Still cramped, but a nice table. Beers are all top notch. Love the deep dish pizzas. The small is very small and a bit expensive for the size, but the regular size is more than enough for two people and a good value by my estimation.
I prefer the other location in Hamamatsucho, as it is closer to where I live and much more spacious inside. This location is much better for a date.
As they are only four stops from each other on the Yamanote, try both in a night and decide for yourself.
Another stop on a pub crawl with TimE and Tim. Seems smaller than Hamamatsucho but there are a few floors at this location. Decent selection of Japanese crafts, maybe a bit more imports than Hamamatsucho. Didn’t try the food, though we got there just before last call anyways. Okay prices.
Very small craft beer bar close to Kanda Station. 15 beers on tap, friendly service, barman had great rapport with his beer geek customers. A lot smaller than the Euston Tap and almost as many tap beers. Kura Kura is just round the corner so stopping off at Kanda on a Tokyo beer tour is well worth it. Standard Tokyo prices.
Nice trendy beer place. Tap menu is decent and prices are a bit on the high side. Although staff were not English speaking they tried and made enough of an effort, that I was pretty happy. Food was ok and pizza would be good for Japanese standards but small and average by American. There is lots of places in the area and if you are around make a stop.
